    ring question

    Today I searched the site of an old grist mill that no longer exist. Found the usual junk and shotgun brass. 10 minutes before dark I found a wide gold plated wedding band with the word "QUEEN" engraved inside it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks P.S. will post pic if necessary.

    todays XLT finds

    Found these relics today at another old homesite. The goat bell still works (was full of mud). All the coe oil lamp parts seem to be there.

    yesterdays XLT finds

    Searched a mid-1800's homesite yesterday. House is no longer there. Found the following: my first spur, a machete, a large file, dog tag, padlock w/bullet hole in it, large hook, horse bit, and a 1919D wheat penny.

    colonial finds today

    Took my XLT to an early 1800's spot where a house once stood. Have hit it several times. Used my 3 x 5 coil and found the pewter button (no writing on it), then switched to all metal mode with the 9.5 in. coil and found the hanger and the 2 pronged fork (my first) along with a lot of junk iron.

    todays finds

    Flynndfx40 and I hunted another 1800's house site today. He found a Harrison campaign button to be posted later when clean. I found a Peters 45-70 cartridge, and iron hook (use unknown), and a token. On one side it has a "5" and on the other side it says "YE OLD BAR CAFE". Any info appreciated...

    ladies brooch

    Searched a spot where a house once stood in the late 1800's today with my th partner, flynndfx40. Lots of junk, a lipstick tube with the gold plating still on it, and a nice brooch. It still has the gold gilt on it along with 2 of the diamonds (?). The cameo is transparent.

    reel and button today

    Hit 2 old houses today with flynndfx and I found a flat button (imperial standard on back side), and a very small level wind reel (dime is for size comparison only. flynn also found a flat button.

    Searched an 1800's era house today and found a 1917 Mercury 4 inches deep in cows#$t. Also found an old hand auger, a stirrup, a hub for a Model A Ford, a single blade axe, and a double blade axe.     today's hunt with daughter

    Took my 17 yr old daughter and her Prizm 1V out with my XLT today to an early 1800's homesite. She found her oldest coin, 1826 large cent, and a suspender buckle. I found a thimble, 2 flat buttons, several square nails, and what looks like an old buckle.

    Todays finds

    WENT TO AN OLD HOUSE, BEAN FIELD, AND TOBACCO FIELD TODAY. FOUND ONLY CLAD AND 2 WHEATS BUT CAME AWAY WITH THESE NICE POINTS AND SCRAPERS. ONLY COMPLETE POINT IS BOTTOM RIGHT. REALLY LIKE THE DOVETAIL AT LOWER LEFT.

    ring found and returned

    Was told a ring was lost in my uncles front yard this past winter in the snow, but noone could find it. Within 2 minutes my XLT had the ring in his hand.     Hunted an old homesite today and did pretty good, I think. Sorry my partner, flynndfx40, had to work. Found the usual clad along with 10 wheaties (from 1911 to 1952), a 1925 buffalo nickel, a 1952 rosie, 3 mercs (1917, 1924, and 1930s), and 2 Indian Head pennies (1895 and 1898). Was also told...
