As said, every bit of dirt is different. I'm dealing with a lot of trash in well fertilized parks. So far: mid\upper 70's can slaw and junk jewelry, mid\upper 80's clad, ate up, pennies, 91-93 dimes, 94 up quarters. Copper pennies give false hopes.... I'll be back out Monday. I'll be...

Part of the reason for my original question was based on air tests not being what I was finding in the ground. I was, and still, interested in others numbers. Since my dirt in likely different, it's more of a get it the range thing. Just wanted to get up to speed quicker and have less dig...

I have indeed done air tests with all coins, jewelry and normal junk. It's close, but.... No cigar in the wild. Just interested in learning it!

Thank you! All of this helps! I will make a few program changes, get more tone spread. Give a try next week if the weather cooperates.

My id numbers: 84-86 zinc pennies, 90-93 clad dimes, 94-98 clad quarters. I dug some junk jewelry, and can slaw, mid 70's. 40-50's old rusty caps and slaw. Running park 1, factory settings until I get used to it. I need another 60-80 hrs!

Right now I'm running factory park setup. Display numbers are far tighter than my old Whites VDIs. I had quite a few years on it and pretty much new what I was going to dig up. Right now, I'm looking for nickel numbers. I've got the quarter, dime, pennies pretty much locked in. Still...

I'm new to Dues 2. I've got about 20 hours on it. Long way to go! I could use some help on numbers. Most anything above 90 is silver (also copper pennies and old sprinkler heads). I haven't dug a single nickel. Quite a few pennies, 84-88. Can slaw and junk jewelry below that. What are...

    Balance

I put 12-14oz (didn't weigh it) right under the arm cuff. I went out yesterday for about 4 hours and I didn't have any arm soreness. Also, I had a new, and heavier 13" coil on. I did reverse attach it, so it wouldn't feel as nose heavy.

    Deus II 13x11 coil shaft

Interested in getting a 13" coil and shaft. Where did you get it?

    Balance

Interesting thought! I might play with that.

    Balance

I think part of my problem is the hand grip angle. It leans forward more than my other detector and it stretches the exact muscle which stated getting sore. I have added about 10 oz inside of the cuff. I'll see how it works out.

    Balance

I usually use a Whites 3Vi. Much heavier but the balance point is also much closer to the hand grip. I have, and rarely use, a Whites MX Sport and the balance on it was also off. When the balance is off, it causes extra effort to keep the nose up. The amount of time I spend detecting is...

    Balance

I used the D2 for the second time today. My forearm started getting very tired after 4 hours. The balance is just off for me. I'm planning on adding some lead inside tube right under the cuff. I was wondering if others have done that?? How did it work??

Thanks, I'll probably stick with what I have.

    MI6 question

Does it read off of the nose or side? How deep? My old Whites TRX reads mostly at the nose and goes pretty deep. Garret carrots is more of a side reader and isn't deep at all.

    Lockup

I just got a machine and promptly locked it up! After a panic attack I found I had just locked the key pad. Start on the top left button and when you push it the lock icon will open and then quickly hit the next and then the next..... You're unlocked!

    White's Spectra V3i is a 'Legend'

It's all I use. When Whites folded I bought a second one. I haven't seen anything worth switching to yet.

    Cool air pressure gage

The top guage isn't missing anything, it has the inlet on the end where the bulb is on the lower one.
