Last Hunt of 2006.....The Silver Chimney

I finally was able to get out with Rob over the weekend before the rains came. Seems like we've not swung a coil forever! We decided to finally get back to the chimney we found in the woods a few months back. You may remember last time we kinda gut run out by some deer hunters. This time we were...

    Another nice iron relic......

Just back from vacation for the holidays......did I miss anything?? :) Finally gut back out & I brought Bill Henderson...the twin cover boys dad, to one of my Colonial cellar holes. It has been pounded hard, but we went to dig out all of the many iron targets that litter the area hoping for a...

    T2 find...early silver ring

At the same site I found the Spanish Silver about a month ago.... I dug this silver ring that looks like it could be just as old, or Colonial. It has a very similar "bars" design that was common on rare coins & buttons, but those had 13 bars for the 13 colonies....no dice on this one :(...

Recent finds & a new site.....

Well I have been getting some e-mails & PM's asking what has happened to me? Have I retired,,,etc?? ;) Well, we have not had much luck here lately. Lost a couple permissions, ran into some deer hunters & stuff....Hunters control the woods where most of our best sites are. So, I have been...

    "micro targets" with the T2:detecting:

I have been returning to some old iron loaded Colonial house sites I'd thought were "hunted out". But, with the T2 I'm finding they can still produce tiny items we missed with our old machines. The coil size shouldn't intimidate you as it hunts in iron better than any detector I've ever used...

    Bite the bullet :O

Two of my favorite "personal" Civil War finds from Diggin' in Virginia 6 were these 2 pieces of lead found with the T2. This piece of lead shows definate human teeth marks. Where the saying "Bite the bullet" came from. (Don't tell me that's not true and animals chewed 'em all, which is what...

T2 goes Diggin' in VA. :twodetecting:

I was at the "DIV" Civil War relic hunt last week & wanted to share a few photo's..... I brought 3 different detectors. But I never let go of the T2 for 3 days....it was that good  I ran all metal mode, with sensitivity 80 or above. The soil was real good I think balancing in with...

    Diggin' in VA 6 photo's....

:buds:Check out the nice ride.....I roll into VA in style  [attachment 39895 div6pacecar.jpg] [attachment 39896 div6huts33.jpg] There was some serious holes being dug....into huts & trash pits. This was a BIG Yankee camp. [attachment 39897 div6cows.jpg] One field had some cows in it & they...

    T2 find.....Irish "Shine" ID'ed

Some may remember this "Irish Button" I dug at a cellar hole maybe a month or so ago? I remember I was upset that the cool looking new cellar hole didn't produce a large cent or silver coin with the T2. Only the cruddy shield nickle & this button that didn't appear too old, or military...

    T2 find.....Irish "Shine" ID'ed :yo:

That's right.......a T2 find on a C$-Edge forum. The T2 is part of the Fisher Family now, & rocks as a detector. I will be using it at the DIV. Sad to say, my ID-Edge is collecting dust now :sadwalk: But, anyhow...... [attachment 39269 irishShine.jpg] Some may remember this "Irish Button" I dug...

Anyone see a new article on "fellowship"?

In Western & Eastern Treasures magazine?? Kinda timely since all the merry minions are saying they had a great time and the "laughs & fellowship" made up for the fact they paid someone $200 ea. + $400 more in expenses for the right to trespass without a contract in the pouring rain :punch:

I thought flying to DIV was a good idea :stars:

Until I began packing :rage: All the things I wanted to bring won't even come close to fitting into a large sized suitcase. Plus, who knows if Southwest is gonna tell me it's too heavy or something?. I wanted to bring the lap top, but I may leave that behind to carry on a detector/digital...

T2 hits some Spanish Silver

I hunted a pounded, iron loaded site with the T2 yesterday. You can't let the big coil, or a little chatter intimidate you. I have been over this spot with all my other detectors, but thusfar had missed this....... [attachment 38562 TeaH-Reale1.jpg] It's a 1799 silver Spanish half-reale... Tiny...

    Finally....a Nice hunt :twodetecting:

On Sat. I was babysitting the 9 yr. old boy who was in the SunRay coil pics. His attention span is a little short for detecting, although we did try some dirt piles with his Bounty 3300 he got from "buttonDigger" Tex, The original Button daddy :) Nearby was a place where we have found some...

    Finally got back out......

for just a couple hours after work..... Nice to get back into it, and I was able to get familiar with the T2's all metal mode. I have to say I like it ALOT. (Brad you were right). Perfect for my type of relic hunting in fields at least, probably not around a trashy foundation site. All metal...

New Info on F75 to help some confusion.....

    1. The T2 and the MXT are both general-purpose single-frequency machines. However the T2 is not in any way based on the MXT. 2. The T2 was not a prototype of anything. It is a product in its own right that was being sold to the general public several months before First Texas purchased...

New Fisher F-75 (a little info.)

First off....I only know bits & pieces from yesterdays meeting @ First Texas. But, I was told it was OK to release some info. A couple things first.....Please DO NOT fill my privite message box or e-mail me for further info as this is all I know. I'm just getting bits & pieces myself by...

    T2 relics + 2 cent piece :twodetecting:

I met with Mike from Outdoor Outfitters passing through for a hunt in CT. & then off to First Texas for the "unvailing" of the red sheet ;) I took him to one of my best Colonial foundation sites & we both used T2's....... Here's all the goodies we got in just a few short hours...1700's buttons...
