    Some more F75 finds........

Last weekend I hit a farm field with the F75........but on the way I saw some dirt piles at a construction site and hit those first. Always stop & hit those dirt plies. They don't always produce, but this site did get me a couple nice coins. An 1862 'fat" indian head, & an 1865 2 cent piece with...

    F75 "heartbreakers".....what could have been:cry:

This may look way off topic at first, but the F75 helped me find a circa-1850 trash pit near one of my early cellar holes the other weekend. (It overloaded on some barrel bands within the dump). I opened it up carefully and found just 2 whole bottles intact. The stoneware one on left is a master...

Finds in 1700's yard with F75 :detecting:

I got permission to hunt the property of an old estate that goes back to mid or early 1700's (forget the exact date). The owner had a son with an interest in detecting, so I let him use the T2 after he hunted with me & got the hang of it. He was floored to be finding musketballs, wheaties, & a...

    Couple finds from today...nice token

I got out with my dad for a few hours today which was great because it's been along time since we hunted together. I got what looks like a real cool token (next to this 1700's Colonial coat button w. starburst in center). All's I can read right now is "1812 Amnesty" under the eagle. The other...

CONTEST- for the new Fisher bag- Now Over.

As everyone can tell, we decided to restructure all of the Fisher forums & also make one Technetics forum to try to serve everyone @ Findmall better. Now the popular new "F-series" units have their own forum, and fans of the Los Banos "Classic" Fishers have a new place to call home as well. So...

    F/S- Fisher 6.5" F75/F70 Elliptical Coil:detecting:

This coil was used very little, so it's in great shape. Great in trashy sites for both the F70 or F75. The pic only to show size next to the stock coil. Lower rod not included, just the white coil. I'll also throw in a new Fisher wings logo hat still wrapped they no longer make.... To buy this...

NEW Video- Detecting Colonial Stagecoach Stop :detecting:

Here's my first video for 2009 & my first real hunt of the new season after a long frozen winter here in New England. I'm picking through the iron trash in a remote wooded site before it gets all overgrown..... Still have some "Season 1" DVD's left with 5, 30 min. episodes if anyone happens to...

New Video- Colonial Stagecoach stop with the T2 :detecting:

Here's my first video for 2009 & my first real hunt of the new season after a long frozen winter here in New England. Using the T2, I'm picking through the iron trash in a remote wooded site before it gets all overgrown. It's loaded with iron, so I'm utilizing the settings of disc 21 & 1 tone...

Couple "Classic" Coinstrike finds from WWII

I hit my WWII site on Sunday for a little while with the Coinstrike. The C$ loves round items, & these 2 uniform "collar discs" locked in hard like a large cent. They are probably brass. I have found several of these over the years & I love doing the research on what "company" they were, where...

    Interesting button dug w. F75:detecting:

I found this strange cuff button over the weekend at my button site. Never saw it before, & after cleaning was very surprised it says "World Wide Wireless" with a globe motif. Now this is a button from probably the 1920's-40's (as the latest button found here is WWII type). So it appears in this...

I'm doing the finish work...painting, drop ceiling, etc. on my new & improved "treasure room". I have so many treasures to display, including my old detector collection. My old treasure room turned into a baby room....so I'm excited to unpack & set up some displays again. Someone asked me to...

    1st. Hunt....Colonial Stagecoach stop :detecting:

The weather is great here now in New England.....snow's gone & in the 50's. After helping my brother move Sunday, I had a few hours to kill at an old 1700's stagecoach stop not far from home. It's produced large cents & shoe buckles in the past & I always find stuff everytime I go 'cause there's...

    Scouting out new sites....

Yesterday, before the big snow storm came my hunting buddy & I did some exploring in a rural area we had not seen yet hoping to come across some possible Colonial sites for this detecting season. We got into a really nice rural town with some history, & it didn't take long to see the first...

    Got another detector :twodetecting:

Ok, well it's not a new one & not a Fisher but another oldie but goodie for my detector collection. Detector history 101 :) This is a 1973 "Ray Jefferson Treasurer 200". This was a top of the line unit for this company selling for $199.95, which was alot of $$ back then (Probably like buying a...

    Promoting the hobby @ schools

I was able to speak to a large group of middle school students recently as an assembly on treasure hunting. Usually I do just a grade or a few classes....this time it was an entire 2 town large school! But, the set up was pretty cool. As you can see it was a huge auditorium & they were able to...

Diggin in VA 10- Civil War relics....

I had a great time once again as it's always a treat for a New Englander to get the chance to dig Civil War relics. I used a combo of the Infinium becuse of the nasty mineralized red clay & the 1270. The 1270 killed it on bullets, Infinium hot on buttons.... First here's a scene of the 2 big...

Just in from Diggin' in Virginia.......

The 1270 stole the show on bullets once again in the red clays of Brandy Station.......comparing signals with other people like along side a tejon who failed to hear the deep ones.... I'm still trying to recover & get settled, but I will try to upload some pictures later. HH, Bill
