    [Expll ?] Depth & Disc.

So I'm getting to know more about my Exp ll and and I think it's great that we can pick and choose what targets we want and don't want. It's a lot more precise then the basic notch feature that I'm use to. But I'm wondering as with most other detectors, do we loose any depth with the more...

Did your new E-Trac get you in trouble?

First day out w/E2 and...........HE SCORES!!!

Not to shabby for a first time Explorer user if you ask me. What a neat detector these Explorers are. Found this baby about 8 or nine inches deep with my Explorer ll that I just traded for. After about two hours of clad popping I decided to just hunt for the faint flutes and lo and behold......

    A little Explorer History needed.

How many Explorer models are there? When did it all begin? What are the differences? Are the settings common for them? Getting a Explorer 2 next week and for some reason I think I should know this.

    Custom "All Metal" Program

You all know how most of us like to use "all metal" when we hunt because you get more depth.. And you all know how when we first turn on the Xtrra 70 it's always on Pattern One. Well I always space it out and forget to set it back to "all metal" (when I take a break while detecting..Like when...

    I made a neat discovery!

I own a few detector and my most recent addition is my wife's uncle's Eagle spectrum. Poor guy is just too old to do anything anymore. Anyway that Spectrum as many of you old timers know weighs a ton and after an hour or so of swinging it my arm gets tired. What can I do about that? I'm too poor...

    I actually went hunting today.....

with my x70 at another older school in the hood. I been playing around with my Eagle Spectrum a lot lately ( Sure could use some info on that baby, ( Hint hint Elton ) that I kinda forgot how to use the x70. It came back to me quickly and i sure do appreciate the light weight of it too! Spent...

    Tot lot finds....

No I didn't find anything but I always enjoy what is found and posted on the forums when it comes to Tot Lot Finds. Some of us I know only hunt tot lots. From one park to the next every outing...... Wouldn't it be neat if we had just a sub-forum for tot lot finds?

    Hoping to find.....

This is a long shot but you never know.... once upon a time, long ago, White's produced a video (VHS) for the old Eagle Spectrum detector. If anyone has it just laying around I'd would really like to buy it from you. No price is too high. So long as it's around 20 bucks. Also will consider...

    Three outings w/X70 "finds"

I think I just pumped my head with too much information and tips for the X70. So I'm just gonna learn the machine myself. One day at a time. Meanwhile here are some of my keepers so far.... [attachment 88181 IMG_0245.JPG] I had a feeling I was being watched. [attachment 88182 IMG_0244.JPG] A...

X70 What am I doing wrong....

I did everything by the book. But after 2 hrs of detecting it dawned on me... I'm not finding any deep coins. So.... I dig a 4"-5" plug in the ground. I place a dime in the bottom of the hole and replace the plug. Move the coil over it and the X70 can barly pick it up and the VID can't lock...

    Ground Tone???

I read that when you first begin the process of GBing the x70 you will get a GB tone that should be consistent before you start raising and lowering the coil above the ground. But as soon as I hit the GB button the tone I hear is fluttering and very inconsistent. Also I can only notice a change...

    Xterra's Mainden Voyage Finds

I got to spend a little time with my new/used 70 this morning and so far everything seems to work fine. Found the necklace about 3 inches deep. The TID wasn't consistent but the inconsistency was consistent so I thought I'd better dig it up. It's tarnished where three knots were but with some...

    Xterra70 arrived save and sound.

Naturally I went straight to the yard and just turned it on without reading the manual first. Then about ten minutes later I gave up and admitted defeat, After reading some of the manual I had a better grasp of what to do and it performed much better. Tomorrow I'll take it out for our maiden...
