    Weather cover for O8K?

Is there a weather cover specifically designed for the O8K, or one that at least works good on it? I went hunting in the drizzle all day last saturday, and noticed my machine getting fishy cause of the moisture. It kept wanting to turn itself off randomly.

    O8K yields 1891 V Nickel

Out last night briefly at a moderately trashy and very hard hit spot. The only coin besides a clad quarter I dug up with a 1891 V nickel at about 6 inches. D4 tones, disc "1" ground 53(balanced was more at 60 but was quieter at 53), sensitivity 95(some EMI) Also interesting to note, I've been...

    1870 2cent with Omega 8k

Pretty shallow, about 4 inches deep. My best coin ever. It pays to dig the zinc penny signals, this was mid 70's.. Ground balance 64, 98 sensitivity disc of 1, d3 tones. Loud and clear in hard dry dirt.

The omega does do silver coins!

Rained and stormed this afternoon so figured I'd get out for a little bit before it got dark. Kept hitting the deep clad pennies at 6-7 inches that were from the '60s and 70's so I kept digging. After a half hour or so I got a nice 88(high dime) on the Omega 8000 at about 6 inches. Dug a plug...

Omega doesn't like disc'ing in trash for coins

So I've had my omega 8000 for a few weeks now and am still learning the machine. Been reading what other people have been using, so I've been running with disc at 16-20 most the time, 2 tone. I've also noticed that I don't seem to find any coins like that, at least not many anyhow. Keeping in...

    Omega 8000 coil covers

Just ordered an Omega 8000 with the 10" coil and 11"DD coil. Does anyone know what coil covers fit and where to get them? Doing a search doesn't yield any clear answers.
