    I think Rob is right. I never check in those settings too much you know. I only adjust my sensitivity and a filter, the others depends of what you are hunting for. I also stick on the preset programs and I have good results. I hope that helps.

    I thought zeroing the reading in there it is to see the ground Vdi ! I mean for knowing where is your grounds minerals vdi. For knowing the percentage of how much of minerals is in the soil this is different. About how much, I think it should change all the time while you hunt.

    any V3i users in Arizona

    The only help I can give to you is to stick to factory preset programs. At most times I use "coin and jewelery" preset program and I am very happy with it. At least you have to know how to restore them if you mess them up.

    According to the purchased date sounds best deal ever. It is on its guarantee also what ever could be wrong with the detector it can be fixed by whites free of charge. I do not want to be the one that puts fire on anybody s worries but I think is got to be checked first.

    Why the icons are just for american hunting?

    Yeh Robert but it is nice to have them on, they give a nice color on your screen but as said are different! I will be happy to see an update on the software. As far we are hunting for hammered coins also, so tiny, it would be nice to have it on screen. V3i remains my best detector anyway.

    My wonder was if you are in Europe why shouldn't you have the icons to change from American to any others country' s images on the v3is? I meant it is nice to have the icons but sometimes they are confusing since the sizes of coins are different in any other country.

    Don't you have the instruction manual? Go to audio get to it's options and there is ENABLE X checked for wireless and unXed that.
