Silver today and a heavy load

Went to one of my favorite spots today and its still producing :hello2:. I got a 1920 merc eaten by the salt water another key, aside from silver and gold, I think they are my favorite to collect can't get enough. My shoulder was raw from carrying the 58 ounces of weights in my bag I had to dig...

    coil issue

Ive noticed recently that the coil wire, at the end where it attaches to the coil, the black wire protector that wraps around the wire is broke. Also while hunting in high weeds or near twigs if something hits the coil or the wire it sounds like a signal and then goes away. Will whites warranty...

I found the dump site for a old farm.

I went to a local spot that was a farm from the late 1800's till 1965 or so. An hour into my hunt after digging shotgun shells and the cool lantern piece I had another iffy zinc signal so I started digging and didn't stop for the next hour. I only had a garden trowel but managed to dig a 2x3...

    3 firsts for me today

Spent 2 hours at my local hot spot and had the best hunt. Started searching a new section and came up with the clump of concrete with a coin in it, its not really concrete but was as tuff. Through many electrolysis sessions I got an unreadable Indian head. A few minutes later pulled up a 1916...

I got it figured out I think

Went to the beach I had trouble at the first time with the v3i. So thank you to the helpful people and the encouragement. I fiddled around with the gain and disc. And I learned how to approach the targets differently:detecting: and pick out the different tones. Don't know if that makes sense to...

    hunting beach question

So I went to my honey hole today and I couldn't get any good readings that were solid. Every two inches my detector would go off then the signal go away. I tried salt setting and deep silver and the coin setting. Would high trash work for this location. The area is a old beach resort on the bay...

I have so much to learn

Finally got my v3i in and took it out today in the bitterly cold wind. I was very relieved to not have to dig as many pull tabs and pop tops. I did find it strange that I found more nickles than I ever have. I'm using the factory settings right now till I learn more. I did have a nice hit at...
