    Timex

Found this watch in 3 inches of water by the shore in an area where I was finding a lot of coins. It is an Indiglo watch by Timex but water resistant and running with the right time and date. Must have been a fairly fresh loss. About $4 in change too. Paid for the gas...

    Golden day

Found the 24", 10Kt chain and 14 Kt medallion together. Pretty rare to find them together like that, for me. Chain weighs 3.3 grams and medallion is 1 gram. 3 silver rings rounded the day out and made my 3 hour hunt rewarding. The water was warmer than the air at times......air temp was 88!

I'm back after a taking a month off,,,

Got out today to see what was around the beach. Found the ring the first 15 minutes that I was in the water. 14 Karat, 3.4 grams. A LOT of people out at the beach today. I suspect that the water temperature is now warm enough for the natives. It is around 78 - 80 degrees. Plenty of folks...

21Kt ring. A first for me!

I was trying to help someone find the chain for their dog collar. Didn't find the chain but this came out while I was looking for it and is the first 21K I have ever found! 3.3 grams. The earring was not marked so I suspect it is plated.

    The ultimate evil: Electrolysis

Not a bad hunt today. Found a gold bracelet that tests 14Kt (13.7 grams!) but it was a mess. It was resting next to a bottle cap and had been there for a very long time. Long enough to form an electrolytic connection. It was encrusted with sand and I had to carefully separate the bottle cap...

    Anchor Aweigh!

I am almost embarrassed to put this on here. I have been having incredible luck lately and I hope I don't tick anyone off. Went to a hunt a beach I had not been to for a while to see what turned up. The anchor/crucifix turned up the last 15 minutes of the hunt. I was already heading home...

    No clad, but I'm Glad!!!

I'll take these type of finds any day over clad! Went hunting during a heavy surge. Had to stay in close to shore, even though it was low tide. Looked in the same area that I had found the cross. Thought I might find the chain. The ring is 14Kt. The middle stone looks natural but I don't...

    Could not find the chain.....

But I am happy I found the cross! 5.5 grams, tests 14Kt. A silver toe ring and a few coins. 2 hours. Almost left to go home when I decided to look in one more area by a small reef near the surf-line.

Joe wore his best to the beach!

I am indebted to Joe for losing this in the area where I had previously broke my gold slump. It made an unusual sound so I dug it and smiled at the results! 14 Kt, 6.3 grams. This particular area of the beach seems to have recently had the sand removed. I am finding older coins and the badly...

    Finally shook the curse.....

It has been over a month since I scooped #6. I was starting to question my technique. Finally, today, from an area that was my last choice to dig, I came up with the ring (14Kt; 1.5 grams) and the silver necklace and star. $3.86 in coin and a lot of relief......

    Gold ring #6

I've been in a slump lately. Been finding coins but not much else of late. The usual places at the beaches I hunt were just not producing so I decided to look in an area that I had not hunted yet. The 14Kt ring came out first, followed shortly by gold plated copper ring. I felt a sense of...

    A bit unusual.....

I would normally not have posted today's find except that the one on the left was found a year ago and the one on the right (bronze) was found today, at the same beach, but about 100' away. Both are from Peru. I am in the SE corner of the Bermuda Triangle....maybe that has something to do with it!

    Beach bummin'

Made my way down to the beach for a 2 hour hunt. Water was deep in spots but the sand was still up on the beach, mostly. The earring is 14Kt and weighs 2.8 grams. The bracelet is 925, as is the small ring. $5.25 in quarters plus change.

    Thanks MineLab Service!

Called Minelab service and spoke to Robert. I was in a panic. Excal had died on the beach and I was not sure why. Robert walked me through a few scenarios and discovered that my battery adapter plug was not connecting with the charger plug. A slight pinch of the adapter receptacle fixed the...

    Today's catch

The necklace is 14KtGF. The medallion is at least 10 and possibly 14Kt. The cross is not marked and the ring is silver. The medallion was on the necklace when I found it. The electrolysis caused by the dissimilar metals making up the necklace make cleaning the necklace near impossible.

Could not beat Gulfhunter but did find a little glitter

Inspired by GulfHunter's finds, I hit the beach to see if I could cash in on the Karma. I did find a 10K Nike medallion, 2 gold earrings, a gold-plated necklace and a silver bracelet plus 6.25 in quarters. Not a bad afternoon but it pales in comparison to GulfHunter's motherlode! Hats off to...

    Gold ring #5

High surf conditions are piling the sand on the beach at my 2nd choice hunting grounds so it was back to 1st choice beach for calmer water hunting. Snagged this 10K ring in the first 5 minutes and the 14Kt bracelet followed soon after. Not much coin but that was fine with me!
