Would still like to see a pro coil for the X-Terras like the E-trac

and explorer SE Pro has.I wonder if we will ever see one? Also on a side note has anyone else noticed that the HF coils can be run under high line power lines fine but the other lower freq coils get noisy under them? Thanks Keith Southern

I like the Omega's Build and syling and audio but I am just not

confident with it in the lower conductor ranges. Its the blanking of elongated targets in the less than 49 range on the I.D. for serious digging in nails I loose all confidence in it.Great for coin hunting and high conductors ala the Bullet range penny and higher and round brass but the lower...

Heres the week totals for the Omega and finally dug a couple of deep relics today

and they both were like they were on top of the ground louder than i would expected. one was a 3 ringer that was around 10-11 inches .another target was a tompion for a musket it was good 8 inches or more and the deepest one for today was a sword scabbard brass ring. it was 14 inches and a...

Another days hunt with the Omega

got a full day in today with the omega in a couple of civil war house sites. One site was a site I had never hunted but it did produce 14 .58 caliber minnie balls, a eagle button, a carved pencil, a butt plate off a Springfield, a craved nipple protector, old brass spoon, melted lead and such...

Well got out and hunted with the Omega and the DD yesterday

for about 8 hours and that may not sound like much but if you're not from the south you have to experience the humidity here to fully understand the meaning of sweating..Ha-Ha. Wish I had something earth shattering to tell you but only got 2 keepers a token and a stirrup.and neither target was...

Deerman Responded to one of my post where he was talking about Caches well heres a story for you deerman and everbody else caches are true!!!

Got a story for you. I was out riding around one day and saw some construction going on in a farm field and the house that was probably built around 1890 or so had been dozed over and hauled off.It was in the evening and the 2 guys doing the job were just getting in there trucks so I pulled in...

Heres a few shots of the Omega thought people might like to see how the battery goes in

and also the detector stand is top notch!this thing wont fall over like some of todays detectors. Also the metal pole is of a lighter aluminum than the most detectors but the way they bent the aluminum into the right angle designs it makes it really strong yet light.Battery compartment is first...

I got out and hunted with the Omega today for about 5 hours

Seems like a nice detector I actually ran it 99 sens most of the time but I was in the woods this thing air test extremely deep for such a small coil it will hear a quarter well over 17 inches with the concentric coil wont I'd' at that depth but will hear it.The 11"DD will be here tomorrow so I...

I hope First Texas gives us one non metered 12xx series style

metal detector. I 'm hoping for one with no meter and raw depth with manual ground balance that works on both modes. Threshold based all metal with a trigger switch to jump between all metal and disc.Any one thinking like me.the 1270 was getting close but lacked the threshold all metal mode and...

Put the 10.5 coil on the Edge yesterday to hunt a site and had

some remarkable results from such a large coil in iron trash. No mind you it wasnt super dence trash since i had gotten most of the big iron out of there already but there was a scattering of nails and odd bits of iron.Didnt find nothing earth shattering. but what I did find was I could run the...

Looking through the last few post on here makes me kinda sad we will never know

what the next detector would of been like from Fisher in the Coinstrike/Excel/Edge Lineage.I'm sure if things would have worked out for Fisher we would be seeing a new detector by now. At least they went out on top in my book with their last offering of the Edge.Truly a remarkable machine that...

Like new Fisher excel with sunray probe all used one time

truly a nice unit . Works perfect has manual for detector and probe and video for detector. original box.hard to tell from a new one. also has coil cover. a great trash hunter. Only reason I'm selling is to pay for a detector I just bought or I would keep this one for trash hunting. 240.00...

Anyone Notice the MXT 300 is not quite as deep as a

regular MXT when comparing coil for coil?Ive been noticing in my testing that the regular MXT seems hotter out of the box than compared to the 300.I wonder if they dialed the transmit power back a little on the 300 to keep the big coil stable.I see about a 2 inch difference between the 2...

Did a small Mod to my Vaquero

Got tired of switching back and forth from all metal to disc with the disc dial so I swapped out the pinpoint switch with a on-off toggle switch. They have them at Radio Shack for $2.39 and there the heavy duty type. It fits perfect and takes up no more space inside than the pinpoint...

I've looked long and hard for this coin:clapping:

May not look like much but I'll take it! Its a 1868 2 cent piece. This one has eluded me for a quarter of a century.Found it today in an old house site that I've pulled a few seated dimes out of.I pretty much hit it with every detector I have came across. It was laying about 7-8 inches deep in...
