    V3 and digging junk....

    I dig same amount because I dig every repeatable signal. I don't even know why I have the VDI except to attempt to predict the future. Most gold jewlery shows up all up and down the junk scale. I only dig selectively occassionally when cherry picking for silver then I only dig VDI above 60.

    Hello Leojack. I really haven't had any problems with pinpoint. It's usually center of the coil. Sometimes it may null but just pull the trigger quickly a couple times to retune. Always make sure you don't start pinpoint directly over the target. Also make sure you in VCO instead of Ratchet...

    Tones? Disc?

    If you like little discrimination, Accept all Vdi and set tones to "0" for everything you don't won't to hear.... it's audio discrimination. I do this alot. Also have only a few tones you deal with perhaps 1 tone for higher end targets and 2 tone for lower end targets.

    Larry's right on the Vco. Make sure it's on. Also the all metal sensitvity affects P.P. so turn it down. Also close down the recovery delay window a bit. This helps by "seeing" a smaller patch of ground. Mine stays at 60 most of the time. Sometimes 40 and other times 80 but mostly 60...

    The only time I've noticed they don't bounce alot is on shallow targets. This was "fringe" depth on a small gold wedding band. I expect jumping on deeper targets.

    Just remember fellow ther's, these settings are just a guide line and definately won't be best for every hunt. I intended only to show the machines potential even at low Rx levels. Understanding the features and how they affect your hunt is going to be how you find the optimum settings at...

    I've found that running with boost on and gain lower is better than running gain higher but as I stated in the Vid, these settings are only where I start. Only my discriminate patterns are set in stone. All other settings get adjusted accordingly during a hunt.
