    Watch that video two posts up Jason... apparently it does. I've always wondered if these machines are set hot or something just for the particular test being done. Hopefully Southwind can shed some light on it because I think it's his video... it was posted on YouTube yesterday.

    What are your DFX settings that allow you to do this? I had my Dad try something similar with his DFX last year and he definitely was having trouble with the nails just 1" away from the dime, if at all. I don't believe we tested the nail on top of the iron with his detector, but I don't think...

    Anyone received the Manual yet - from sending in the little card that came with the Vision?

    I'm sure it will be posted on the White's website before we ever get a hard copy. I'm guessing about two weeks sooner, unless the electronic copy is purposely delayed.

    Maiden voyage lasted about 2 hours and was better than I expected.

    That was me :) I noticed the same thing you did, that the battery box is wider that normal and makes me wanna push my arm out further so the box clears my body. I tried tucking it in more on the last hunt and that did help some. On my E-Trac, I do a big wide sweep from left to right... almost...

    I've done this kind of testing with my SE Pro and can confirm that sort of a response should happen typically. I'd be really interested to see what the Vision does at 8" with these tests.

    Bob confirmed it was #2, but I also wanted to confirm that with a buried quarter at 8", and the Vision running 2.5kHz only in Coins mode, the VDI does in fact read 83.
