    What am I doing wrong? I can't get the @#$%* AA batteries into the pack...

    Am I missing something here? I have tried two brands of batteries (one is a smidge shorter than the other) but they still will not fit into the battery pack. They are like 1/16 to 1/8 inch too long. I don't want to force it. What's the secret??

    Saturday's Silver with the CZ3D

    Been digging iffy signals at this one site, and using a really slow sweep and tight coverage. Signals that give some iron bounce. Yeah, I got some nails and small iron, but I'm getting silver and deep wheaties too. The SunRay probe really makes finding the nails and iron a cinch.

    Not a coin IN iron, but IRON IN the coin! The CZ still finds the coins with iron. Screw was in the clad dime when I found it. The wheatie was on a nice big deep glob of iron.

    An excellent start for 2006. Only three weeks of detecting, mainly using the CZ3D creatively working some worked out old sites, and it's not even the end of March! These goodies, the best of which is a super 1899 dime, include an 1898 and 1905 indians and a 1909 VDB. About $33 in clad to go...

    A little better day... well, an hour, with the X50, depth?
