    Help with pinpointing on the xterra 70

    Hi all, I have a question. When I find what seems to be a good target, say 36 or 38 and I pinpoint, why does it go to -2 or similar? Does this mean it is iron? I have been skipping these but I am wondering if I am missing something. Thanks for the help.
