Jewerly Hunters 1 frequency & normalization off

I hear you, and I think that way most of the time. The article I wrote for DFX Normalization describes the advantage... "The benefit of using the Raw (non-normalized) modes is that, with increased VDI separation, you can more easily identify targets and discriminate the junk that may inhabit...

Running in Single Frequency and a Tip for a Clearer Signal

Very nice finds Neil! Looks like you're merging with the unit...and thanks for the tip (I do that too...plus a stomp if necessary).

    Test your coils guys ..............................

I don't think trust has much to do with it, at least with White's. Trust could be an issue with Minelab because they do not communicate well. I haven't seen any hide and seek behavior with White's and they seem to be up front about everything. If someone thinks they "got shafted" by the...

    Standard Audio Tones ?

Here are the standard tones by program (Tone Range 14 for Mixed Mode Pro is '100<-->100'...cut the image off by accident).

Jewerly Hunters 1 frequency & normalization off

It should work the same with the V3. You'll miss out on some frequency info, but you'll add depth using single frequency. Normalization off is a great way to go once you identify the predominant trash targets (pt's) at the site and note their VDI.

Yes, and the bottom ones are the actual words (hard-coded, but like Custom Text).

    Gold rings and zinc memorials

I think you are correct if your digging decisions are based only on bench test data. I always find it helpful to start with bench tests, move to staged ground tests and then into practical field testing. You get to know a target fairly well, as well as the effects the ground has on the target...

    Gold rings and zinc memorials

I has been noted that 22.5 is dominant in GP, but 7.5 is dominant in PP and Analyze. I have watched this while hunting this type of signal and it seems that 22.5 is always the highest (even if only by a little bit). The high strength numbers in the OP were too high due to the initial bench...

Oh no wheres that gone ??

Besides not being very realistic, the RG was/is probably responsible for many coils returned that did not need to be returned. Their rule regarding replacement of coils that have an RG less than 8 is something they probably want to get away from...now we have to rely on the overload test alone...

I hunted in the rain today

You must be dedicated to get out in the rain...and it looks llike it paid off. Nice finds Larry

Is the Super 12 worth buying for the V3

For non-trashy sites, especially the beach, it's a winner. No falsing with mine in my area with "standard" sensitivities. I have the D2, Super 12, 6x10 and 5.3.

Is there a down to earth explanation

I agree that a program's effectiveness varies by location. Each program, however, has some rationale, or method, behind it. A program's settings are just implemented principles. I submit that a program's settings can demonstrate the use of these principle which can be adapted to your...

Is there a down to earth explanation

If you understanding Exclude, you understand Common. If you Exclude a category, the settings in that category will always use the Common settings. Otherwise, the settings will contain their current program-specific values. White's Spectra V3 Manual - Page 14, 30 Common
