Yea, I know. After all the bragging about my 220D, I went out and ordered myself a dang'ed Lobo...:nono: Oh yes. Hey, it's just every time I think gold, I start to itch all over  My question to you way cool modifiers........."Ya got any cool mods for Lobo's yet?" Hey, I don't...

    A.H. Pro 2

Just noticed rear of coil shaft is "inside" threaded. Normally, A plastic plug might inserted to seal up this shaft rear. Wonder why the expense of threading that point? Any guesses appreciated. Thanks, Ron.

    A.H. Pro

Many years ago (early 70's) I was off metal detecting in a little park in Coalinga, Ca. Using a Gold Mountain metal detector at the time, I encountered a couple using a cute little machine. They bragged and bragged about this little "buzzer" chuckling and went on their way. I dismissed their...

    More cordless Headphones

Ok, here we go. I rushed out to RShack and purchased a pair of Rivermarine1's cordless headphones. Now remember, not long ago, I reported on this forum my purchase of the Locitech cordless versions, and that they were tail gunning pretty badly. I was very unhappy with how they operated also. So...

    Sand scoop revisited

It came like a flash this morning while I was making coffee :bouncy: That's the way they always come! So I popped out to the shed and found several Coffee cans. The Kirkland's was the stiffest, a 3 pounder. Bringing it in the kitchen, I turned it bottom up and used the electric can opener...

    So, what do *you* think?

I watch some guys move very slowly over the ground. Maybe moving a half-inch per loop swing. I see other guys advancing a whole loop diameter per swing. The seem to have the same number of targets at the end of the day. Now sure if you get into a hot spot you want to slow down work the...

    Threshold Adjust:shrug:

Hi...! I use an old Big Bud 220D that I love dearly. And it's fine on discriminate, however when using it in all-metals mode, looking for nuggets :-) I sure wish I could set the threshold to a level that's hear-able Any one know if there's an adjustment pot inside these units to set this...

    More Wireless Headphones :surprised:

Be careful when you first put on your Logitech head phones. During the act of putting them on it's very easy to accidental turn off the earphone power switch. I really thought I had a defective set until I caught myself touching the switch. More as develops.............

    Plastic digger

Hi, I'd really appreciate a heads up for a source for a super tough non-metal hand shovel with a tubular handle (so it won't hurt you hand). I bought a little chinksy thing that made my hand hurt when I used it, and it broke really quick. Anyone out there used a really GOOD one? And can...

    Sand Scoop

I've seen many ads for sand scoops, and have owned a couple. They appear to have been made by punching a bunch of holes in a piece of flat metal, the bending them into shape. That's fine however they drain the sand rather slowly. I think you could better served by buying a piece of aluminum...

    Digging Tool

I've been viewing lots of ads here and there about digging tools. Some are quite robust, but even those look like they would be easliy bent if abused very much. Many years ago, there wasn't much choice in diggers. Little hand spades left alot to desire, especially when digging in rock piles...

    Pin pointer

I modified my Harbor freight pin pointer so I could choose between the stock beeper and an Led by adding a switch. But, I've found I seldom used the light, even though it sounded like a cool deal at the time. More, I find a dead or questionable battery sometimes when I arrive at a detecting...

    Audio limiting

I thought I could gain sensitivity by reverse paralleling 2 germanium diodes to achieve a zener. I placed this zener directly across the headphone jack in the detector. I thought with this device installed, I could crank up the volume for quicker response without hurt my ears, but gained...

    Right over my head!

I just don't get it! The magnets it mean! Why would you want nails and other pieces of rusty iron to stick to your scoop or digging tool. I'm puzzled by this one. Why not glue magnets to the bottom of your shoes, by the end of the day, look'et all the little pieces of iron and...

    Wireless headphones:biggrin:

Someone, sorry, I've forgotten who, released info about wireless headphones. I found them for sale at various prices and bought some. Inter "logitech freepulse wireless headphones" in the magic box on E-bay should get you there. The sender is very small and should plug right into your...

Any body heard when our "Stimulus Checks" are coming out. I wanta get me a new Mine Lab. That 4400 looks really good. Let's see.....10 Trillion / 330million........if I got the decimal in the right place, we'll all get enough bucks for a new Mine Lab, a Baloney Sandwich, and enough left over...

    My first gold coin in

Cool on the coin! Please tell me the deal on the cordless head phones. Was it part of the detector package or...............? And no I've never found a Gold coin......or a silver dollar. I think the only chance we have anymore is in a back yard where some little boy has gotten into his...

    Lookin' fer Gold!

Just curious, any one out there using a B.H. vlf type of detector for gold hunting? I assume you use a 4" coil and use the non-discriminate mode, but what other techniques work best for you. My intention will be detecting along creeks and rivers in central Ca. Any comments or advise or...
