    Flat Button Question

Don't know the age, but I have found many similar buttons in fields around maryland and virginia. Could easily be older than 1800s.

My Legend kicked my butt today, would not let me leave.

Real silver & opal ring? Nice.

    Deepest coins or jewelry?

I used to chase that kind of depth, had a 18" SEF coil on my V3i that weighed like 300 lbs. Then I realized the only time I ever found anything that deep was buried trash. I would MUCH rather have great discrimination at 6-8 inches then maximum depth at any cost.

    Deepest coins or jewelry?

Nah, you don't have to use any of the extra stuff. You can just turn on and go the same as you did with any prior version but have the benefit of extra stability.

    My Legend is a "DUD"

Your dealer just by virtue of selling the device does not make them an expert. The statement he gave you is very general and applies to literally any device that transmits/receives RF (as all metal detectors do). Obviously it's your choice to not try a replacement, and we're sorry to see you...

    Deepest coins or jewelry?

I have only been out a dozen times or less since I bought the unit (when they first came out). Most of my spots don't have deep targets, but I have pulled several wheaties from around 6-7 inches. Some old copper fixtures from much deeper.

    My Legend is a "DUD"

A lot can happen when shipping stuff between countries. My wife just bought a blanket chest from turkey and somewhere along the lines it got absolutely thrashed.

LG30 Coil, and Upper Carbon Fiber Shaft, Legend

I don't understand why they went with 12x9, so close to the existing 11 inch coil size that everyone already has.

1838 Full Gold Sovereign Found + Settings

Never found a gold coin stateside, I assume they must be more prevalent in the UK and Europe with the number I see in their videos and posts? What's this coin worth?

    Version 1.11 is up Now

Technically, if it's a new-ish chromebook you could install the linux development environment and then run the installer in Wine. Lot of trouble though to run one file, might be easier to buy a cheap second hand PC. Here's a decent bare-bones one for $115...

    Version 1.11 is up Now

Okay, so under 1.11 when in Park mode, assuming no significant EMI, which multi-freq is best for coins/jewelry?

    Bone Conduction Headphones

If you get them and they work well please let us know. Can't seem to find any modern pairs with Aptx LL support.

New 1.10 Beta test version 3

The new tool for updating should make everyone happy, it's dead simple. That said, I cant for the life of me seem to locate how to revert to factory defaults.

    legend power output

I'm not super smart on metal detector physics, but I remember some of the EE courses I took many decades ago. Seems to me detectors do two types of detecting. Time phase for depth and frequency phase for identification. The biggest issue here is that differences in cross section can have as...

    TESTING ALL LEGEND COILS V1.10

That test doesn't really tell you which would have the best depth, given 3 of the coils bottomed out at the same power level it may just be not enough input power to take advantage of the difference in coil sensitivity. I would be more interested to see how high you could push each coil in a a...

    legend power output

dbs isn't a thing. dB is a ratio measurement, and you need to identify what is being measured. The standard for power is milliwatts (dBmW or dBm). 20dBm is about 100mW which seems a bit low by itself, but if you add in the unit processing and display it's probably accurate. dBd is a...

    Wow ! Nice Gold !

Yes, because that is clearly what I said. My point was that people who buy multi-purpose detectors shouldn't get hung-up on gold performance or they may end up choosing a worse overall detector for their needs simply because it's slightly better at gold. If you want good gold performance, get...

    Wow ! Nice Gold !

Gold detectors have always been a special category and shouldn't be compared with multi-purpose detectors.

    9.5x6 inch LG24 coil

I'm not sure what you're talking about, that video was a very direct comparison. Not much setup or extraneous information. If you couldn't follow it then perhaps you may need to talk to your doctor about an adderall prescription. For those that didn't watch, the 6x9 had more trouble with the...
