    Nokta Legend numbers

You mention a lot of analog detectors where it makes sense that the sound contains a lot of nuance. In the modern detectors the VDI is identified before it triggers the associated sound and that sound is a purely digital generated tone, not the result of actual modulation. So I see no way that...

LEGEND V.1.10 UPDATE BETA TEST SOFTWARE

I assume once the firmware is no longer beta they will update the manual which tends to have pretty good descriptions of what the function is actually doing.

NOKTA MAKRO (LEGEND) GETTING SUED - PATENT INFRINGEMENT

They didn't file in the COUNTRY where they are headquartered nor the one where the "infringing" party is from. The US doesn't provide the bulk of their sales, or their competitors. The only reason to sue in the US is that it has the easiest laws to sue under and the easiest to shop around for...

Has anyone put together a cheat cheat for american coins and their corresponding numbers on the Legend?

Im pretty sure today, and especially in the past, Europe was a bigger customer for them than the US. So theres every likelyhood they built the machine to be used in "carpets of iron".

    Legend vs Manticore

Can't beat physics. Inverse square law means that for any appreciable increase in depth they will need a LOT more power, and then they blow out the shallow targets. They would be much better off claiming to have tuned their filters or found a better multifreq technique (now powered by AI!) or...

    Legend vs Manticore

I hold on to my machines forever so resale isn't really a factor for me. In fact I JUST recently sold my White's V3i and I was one of the first to have it (converted V3 during the testing period). I doubt the legend would drop to $150 since people are paying that much and more for used Simplex+...

    Coin shooting programme

Whoa. The accent does not match the coinage.

    Put M3 into play…..

I never really considered radar, but this site is less than a mile from the bay and only a dozen miles from a couple of different military installations. I don't see the same issues at the other parks I go to, but they are all much further inland.

    Beach Wet & Park Setting

Saw a quick video about BW mode working well at allowing coin signals to pop through surrounding can slaw and aluminum trash. Anyone have experience with this? I have a couple of nearby sites that are both littered with can slaw to the point that it's just about the only thing I detect, would...

    Thanks to Nokta for Listening......

They did, not their fault that the demo for metal detectorists skews old/technophobe.

    Put M3 into play…..

Really? I only have one really high EMI area that I detect (I don't get out often or have access to many sites), but the 6" is virtually identical to the stock coil at this site in terms of EMI.

My account is 13 years old and i'm not well known. Do they have a lurker award?

    Concentric coils…

20-30 years ago the market was basically entirely concentric coils. There is a reason everyone moved to DD style coils. The only real advantage concentric has is absolute depth at the focal point, but to get that you would need to overlap a crazy amount (like moving forward 2 inches at a time...

Considering a Legend and wanting some feed back from those that have used them

What's your problem, bub? I said it was good enough that I sold my old (much more expensive) detector. I'm allowed to have a wish list of extras to make it even better. You don't need to have coronary just because I didn't say the dector is flawless in every way.

Considering a Legend and wanting some feed back from those that have used them

I had a v3i for almost a decade. Yes, it's much more versatile and has better VDI and tones. But it's also less stable (esp. in salt water). I sold my V3i when I got the Legend, not because the legend is a "better" detector, but because it was more than good enough for my hunting and gave me...

    Legends have defective speakers

Agree the headphones (any over the ear headphones) aren't ideal when it's hot. I would have loved it if they came with the waterproof jawbone earphones.

    Legends have defective speakers

This might very well be because the accessories aren't "repaired", they are replaced. And the overwhelming majority of inventory is going to the dealers. So they are more likely to have stock on hand to address your issue than the repair place which likely only stocks parts/pieces related to...

    1.08 Stability Setting

So I have watched most of the 1.80/1.08 videos on youtube and listened to Dilek's video and about the only thing I can tell is that the setting is only active when you choose an IF of other than the stock 8, and that it's meant to "fine tune" the IF settings. So how does this work? Whats the...

    No difference worth mentioning.

Definitely more legend youtube videos from the UK, out of my club I think only 3 of us purchased the legend. I can't fault them for increasing the price what with the way things are right now, but I certainly didn't pay 700 pound equivalent in USD (pro pack was $688 no tax or shipping)

    My Perspective on the Legend

I don't think I have ever used the screen to determine the pinpoint, I was trained to do an X and listen to the audio and that still works. Targets are always dead center of my hole. Depth is something I should look at but usually don't as I usually have a general idea of target depth in the area.
