    The Lane, early Monday Morning

    Hit the VB Surf Lane at 0430 Monday AM for low tide, no one there but me and the seagulls, normal clad and stuff and then the x-cal howl on a 10k small band. Max, the sea gods must be smileing upon us so far this season.

    slowed down for a while

    Im still around with Robrcer, winds have not kicked up the beach here in a month, Just built an 8 X 8 santa house for the Va Beach Boardwalk holiday light show, its in 4 X 8 panels that come apart, Maby santa will be happy and send a big cut in the beach.

    Robrcer breaks another one.............................

    Went to hunt the bay this morning, Chicks Beach and over by Alexanders on the Bay, the two of us managed 1 bottle cap and that was it. Robs diggin a deep piece of trash target and I hear the handel of Robs scoop give the death squeal, Yep, he has broken another scoop, back to the workshop again.

    Va Beach Lane

    Hit the lane midnite to 0230, just a two block area, 3 rings, 14, 10 and a silver. All were deep. Hunted out in the waste deep water like crazy, not one signal, headed back into the wet sand.

    Headed for the Va Beach lane last nite, walked one block, x-cal started screaming, dead battery, dug 2 coins and a charm. Drive 40 mins back home to get alkaline pod, That was dead also.     Va Beach, Last Eve,

    Hit the lane last eve for 3 hours, hit 3 rings, one silver with the purple stone, another big silver and a junker that looked good in the dark. No other hunters, beach was quiet, all the tourists are gone, waiting for the storm off the coast to arrive.

    !st time out with X-cal

    Took Jason out first time with his X-Cal 800 and he pops up a silver 1944 mercury dime on the beach. Also a token and some change. We only hunted an hour, no headlamps with us and my X-cal battery went dead. Will head to same area tomorrow and see if any more silver wants to come into the light.
