    You might be a redneck...

    you have to place a cigarette lighter under your headset plug to receive a threshold tone on your detector and then use duct tape to hold it all in place!!! Placing the lighter in the correct spot: [attachment 44143 122706006.jpg] Check to see if the tone can be heard in the headset...

    I went detecting for a little over an hour today. Mostly Memorial pennies, a few dimes and a quarter all clad except

    for one very abused 1935 Mercury dime!! It looks like the dime was hit by a lawnmower or something because it has some slice damage.I found the Merc early in the hunt and I thought I was going to do really well!     An update on James' condition. He had the tests today and the doctor told him he did have a heart attack, but a little different kind.

    Apparently James was born with his aorta too close to the outer walls of the lobes of his heart (I hope I understood this right when James explained it). He has had a problem all his life if he gets too excited his chest starts hurting. The reason is when he gets excited the lobes of his heart...

    This post is way behind the times. I made these finds Sunday before last at a local State Park.

    The place has been really busy this year with a ton of folks swimming each of the three times I have gone there. Most of the swimmers are Hispanic (go figure!) and wear a lot of jewelry. I didn't really get that many hits even from trash, which really surprised me. I went once in the morning...
