I am going to make a couple of posts! This one is my finds from last weekend that I just got cleaned up!! The next one will be from this weekend!!!

Last Saturday (3-11-06)I went detecting with James, Craig and Buddy. I had a pretty good day. I found 4 silver coins (the most in one day for me) and a dozen wheaties and what Buddy told me was a Unit Crest Pin. I had a great time:thumbup::thumbup: Here are all of my goodies in one shot...

OK, I gave James a chance to put something in his post about our hunt Sunday, but he did not, so I'll

post about it. As many of you know we have nicknamed James "The Silver Magnet". What he failed to mention in his post earlier this week was what happened to him during a period of about 10 minutes. We were both detecting on a hillside in the woods and he called me over because he thought he...

OK, Craig was very kind in his post about our adventure yesterday. What he did not say was...

that I was the only person who did not find at least a couple of silver coins!! In fact, I did not find a single silver coin. I found 6 wheat pennies and 2 memorial pennies, one clad dime and one clad quarter (1965, missed it by one year!!!!). I found a US lapel or shoulder button and a fly...

I played the original, but not online. I will have to wait to play CD2 until I do a major upgrade

to my 'puter :(. I also want to upgrade so I can play Battlefield 2. I have some friends who play it and they love it! It is a modern day battle game.:thumbup:

Ed, you asked for pics of the whatzit I found my last time out. It has taken me a long time to get

a chance to take the photos, but here they are at last  [attachment 15669 MVC-134F.JPG] I used a magnifying glass to try to read the letters on the top. It looks like "R" and an 8 with the top loop open and at the very bottom it looks like a small "M P". [attachment 15670...

OK, it has come to my attention that this forum is discriminatory:thumbdown:

I see the icon for the Army :usaa:, Air Force :usaf: and Marines :usmc:, but the Navy (insert Navy icon here) has been discriminated against :thumbdown: Where is our icon??? :usaflag::usaflag:

Got out for a little while this afternoon...

and I had a little bit of good luck. Now it wasn't anything as awesome as Todd's Pine tree shilling and unlike Craig I did not find mine around pine trees, in fact there wasn't even any silver, but for me, it was really good!!:thumbup: I found my first coin of the year, a 1984...

I finally got a chance to go out for about an hour Tuesday! I didn't find any coins and the only

interesting thing I found was an electrical insulator. On one side it has embossed "PP. 1933" and on the opposite side "USA" There is no other writing on it. I know it is called a lagscrew porcelain insulator, but I can't find one exactly like it on the internet. I am curious about its use...

Well, I've been off the forum for a few days, because I got a virus in my computer:cry:

I spent three days trying to get rid of it. It was a browser hijack virus that showed up as a warning about my computer being infected:yikes: When I tried to go online it went to a website called "www.systemwarning.com" It also had the names "SpyAxe" and SpyTrooper" with it. I don't know how...

This question relates back to when Butch first got his new computer and he asked

for help with secrets for having fun with Paint Shop. Since not everone uses Paint Shop what do the rest of you use? Any particular reason you like it more than another program? Just curious:biggrin:

I want to thank Vernon and Butch for helping me learn how to check a person's profile and how to put my own picture in my profile:super:

Butch asked me if I was sure I wanted to put my picture in my profile since SOME folks will mess with it, but I figured I'd rather have that happen to me than ya'll start harassing me like you do Copperhead:biggrin: Thanks for the warning, Butch:thumbup:

Well, I have had a few conflicting feelings this week. You see

I have been in the Navy Reserve since my 3 years of active duty. In March I would have had 28 years. However, the Navy is restructuring ans as a Senior Chief E-8, I hit high year tenure this past March. The high year tenure for Senior Chief was 28 years until March of this year when it was...

Ok, I will admit my ignorance on this, where do you go to see the profiles? I don't see the

place I went on the old forum. I also don't have a picture showing in my profile anymore! Any help will be appreciated. I feel sure I have a foul up in my settings or something:confused:

Craig and I on the other hand are quite pleased with the way Auburn won the Iron Bowl:super::thumbup::hot:
