    Day in the park with the 250. Sifted through the pull tabs and bottle caps for some CLAD.

    Hit up an old 1800's park that is still around but only found clad... no silver. There must have been 1,000 bottle caps for every coin! Forced me to learn how to use the discrimination feature. Notched out everything except dimes, quarters, fifty and dollars. Got sick of digging up pennies too...

    First Gold Ring

    Made it out to the beach today and scored 80 something cents, an old Schlitz can top, and a 14k gold ring. Not sure if it is worth anything but still fun to find. The 250 read it as a nickle with a solid signal.

    Whats your favorite whiskey/whisky?

    I have to say, sippin on a dram of Laphroaig single malt helps sooth my aching body after a day of swingin and diggin. Although since I found an empty antique bottle of Old Crow bourbon today, I might have to go try it! Do we have any other "life water" drinkers out there?

    Found a major bottle cache today

    Stumbled upon someone's old trash site in the woods today. Found a 1940's studebaker truck and at least 100 old bottles and jars. I kept the ones I thought were whiskey bottles. Lots of old medicine bottles, fruit jars, Heinz 57 bottles, bo peep ammonia, freely white something... pretty crazy...

    Detecting and the LAW. Got any arrest stories?

    I'm curious to hear about your run-ins with the law or park officials, rangers, etc... Sometimes I cannot find any info about a certain area and have no clue if it is legal to MD there. I wonder if I got caught, would I be arrested or have my MD impounded?

    Rock took a chunk out of me coil. Is this bad?

    I must have banged the coil into a rock while I was out. It was my first time with this coil too. I didn't realize how delicate the coils are. Is this bad to have a chunk missing? You think it will affect my hunting?

    First time out with the 250

    The snow in Chicago is finally gone and I took my 3 day old 250 into the front yard. I found some pocket change, as well as the sprinkler pipes! The pipe was coming up as different metals each time I passed over it. Does anyone know why?
