    1690 copper

    Had a great hunt last weekend, I found my earliest coin to date, a 1699 half penny. The condition is poor as it should be for being in the ground that long, but there was enough there to get an ID. Unfortunately just handling the coin causes pieces of the patina to fall off so cleaning is out...

    Rechargeable Battery stick for Safari/Quattro

    I just got the 1800 NIMH rechargeable battery fr my Safari. Would've been nice to know it doesn't come with a charger. That being said, does anyone know if you have to use a Minelab charger? Or can you just get one at Radio Shack?
