    I miss my old Vaquero

I sold off my detectors a few years ago for a couple reasons. #1 - The detecting laws in Wisconsin suck. #2 - Not much time to detect because of work. #3 - Funds were / are tight being a single income of four (for almost 9 years). Of all the detectors that I used to own, I had the most fun...

    Compadre - Coil Size

Hi there, I am going to be ordering a new Compadre for my daughter and I was told it comes with either a 5.75 or 8 inch coil and they are not interchangable. I'm pretty sure I am going for the 8" coil, but I was just wondering what most of you use with your Compadre and your...

    Alpha - decent beginners detector?

Hi there. My daughter wants a metal detector, and I don't want to spend a lot of money on one right now. Is the Alpha a decent beginners detector and does it get decent depth for the buck? I couldn't find much information on it in this forum (I went back a dozen pages or so and gave up)...

    Delta Beer Plaque

Hi there. I didn't find this metal detecting , but my wife's father (61 years old) has had this since he was a kid and it used to belong to his father before that. It seems to be made of some sort of resin or plastic with a metal stand on the backside for displaying purposes. It measures 10 1/2"...

    FS - Tesoro Vaquero

For Sale - Tesoro Vaquero in excellent shape. If I had to guess I'd say it's the high tone , but I don't know how to tell for sure since it doesn't say one way or the other. The only reason I'm selling the detector is because I've had a couple expensive car repairs over the past month and need...

My hunting buddy and I like to compare signals before we dig. He uses an SE Pro and I use a Teknetics Omega 8000. Quick Delivery & excellent service = Backwoods detectors

Are Omega and Delta Coils interchangeable??

I just traded my F75-Ltd for an Omega ( 3 coil package ) and a Delta. Since I'm mainly going to be using the 11"DD on the Omega I was wondering if I could use the Omegas 10" eliptical coil on the Delta instead of the Deltas Round 8" concentric coil?? Thanks in advance for any input given. HH -...
