    Teknetics pinpointer - any good??

I'm getting a Tekneics pinpointer with my new Delta and I was wondering if they are any good. I already have a Garrett pro pointer , so I'm probalbly goin to sell one or the other to my detecting buddy who needs a pinpointer. I know how much my Garretts cost be , but does anyone know what the...

    Omega 10" Concentic Coil question??

I'm getting the Omega with the three coil package. It seems to me that most people who have the 11"DD coil use that coil almost exclusively - maybe the 5" in trashy areas being the exception. I was just wondering if there may be any situations where the 10" Concentric Coil may outperform or be...

Not enough Troy users for a Troy forum??

I am thinking about getting a Troy X2 detector , but there isn't a Troy forum to ask anyone about the detector. If any of you use a Troy X2 could you offer me some of your opinions on what you think of the detector - Like how it handles trash . ease of use , depth , ect... thanks ...

    Delta depth??

I'm primarily a coinshooter and I have an F75-LTD , but I don't think that it fits my hunting style or the types of sites that I detect. I'm not knocking it in anyways - I just don't think that it's the right detector for me. I'm thinking about trading it in for an Omega and Delta. I know that...

Another Superb transaction with Backwoods Detectors (Richard)

I just made another detector trade/purchase with Richard of Backwoods Detectors and as always it was a pleasure to do business with him. Granted I've made several purchases with him , but I get the feeling that if I'm not happy (with the purchase) - he's not happy , and he's gone out of his way...

My T-2 helped out a Police Officer.

A friend of mine who is a police officer in a small town in Northern Wisconsin was involed in a foot chase last Saturday night , and lost his keys in the snow during the chase. The keys were for the police station , jailhouse , and a couple other important places. The policy of the police dept...

F75 -LTD users - opinions of this new detector.

I have a T-2 which I really like and enjoy using. My only complaints about the T-2 are that there is no backlight and how noisy/chattery it is when I run it in the boost mode. I'm thinking of trading it in on a F75-LTD or possibly a T-2-LTD. I'm leaning towards the F75-LTD because I heard that...

    All in one hole

I live on a side that road that loops off of a main highway. The road connects to the highway on both ends and is about a quarter mile long or so. I was detecting the shoulder of the road in the dark when I got off of work tonight between 11:30 P.M. and 1:00 A.M.. The T-2 was a little unstable...

Old fishing holes produce a couple of keepers.

My friend and I detected a couple of old fishing holes that I know of Sunday and Monday. We stayed on land because we didn't have any water detectors. I used my T-2 and he used his Explorer SE. At the first fishing area that we searched on Sunday I found an 1934 Mercury Dime and an 1888 Indian...

I have an Omega on the way.

I like to have two detectors and I recently sold my X-Terra 705 to a friend who really liked it. That left me with just my T-2 ( awesome detector by the way ) , so I bought a used CoinStrike and wasn't happy with it so I traded it in for a like new Omega ( used 4-5 hours ). I should be getting...

Richard at Backwoods won't do you wrong.

Richard at Backwoods Detectors went out his way to make sure that I had the detector that was right for me. He wasn't pleased until he knew that I was happy and that I got the performance that I wanted out my new detector. Thanks again for the great treatment and making me feel like a valued...

Found a Silver half with my T-2

I was detecting a ski hill near my house and was finding a lot of modern change. Up on top of the hill I got a nice sounding coin range signal and about 4" deep I found a 1951 Franklin Silver Half. Since I was finding all modern coinage I got a little careless in my digging and I gave poor Ben a...

    First time out with Coin$trike

I took my Coin$trike out for the first time tonight. I have some modern and old coins glued to paint sticks and I laid them on the ground to see how they read. I couldn't get the numbers to read the same with each pass , but it gave a good tone. I set the iron disc. to 99 and used the 525 set...

    Coin$trike target depth?

Is there a way to tell the depth of a target with the coin$trike? I didn't see anything mentioned in the owners manual or on the VHS tape that came with it. Thanks , CoinShooter-Craig

What kind and how many batteries for the C$

I'm on lunch break at work right now and my Coin$trike came today ( while at work ). I'd like to take it out in the dark just to mess around with it some , so I need to know what kind and how many batteries it takes so I can pick some up on the way home. My dad's house is next door to mine and...

    My Coin$trike is arriving today.

My Coin$trike is arriving today. I've owned many different Tesoros , a Garret 2500 , and an E-Trac. I currently own a T-2 and an X-Terra 705 , but I am going to sell my 705 to a friend of mine who wants it pretty bad. That will leave me with my T-2 and Coin$trike. I've never owned a Fisher...

    T-2 Chatter

My T-2 chatters when I set my discrimination to reject everything below nickels. When I drop the discrimination down to 21 it runs smooth and silent. Anybody else experience anything similar to this?? Thanks , Coinshooter-Craig
