    Yay! First ring

Two firsts for today! My first wheat outside of my own backyard (1953 - Very dirty) and my first ring. Granted, this is a junk ring.. But it is kind of interesting. I have no idea why someone would want a big bubble of glass with an image of the planet Jupiter in it. [attachment 96859...

    Phantom tones?

Has this ever happened to any of you? At first I thought this was my imagination, but it has happened at least a dozen times. After acquiring a target, I stand back up and rescan the area and get a tone in the exact same spot.. but only once. It's like the Ace has a memory or something. Is...

Wheats in my change, but none in the ground.

Two days in a row (on my way out detecting) I stop at a store and get a 1940 then a 1957 wheat in my change. What are the odds of that? Not many goods in the ground today. I scored 28 cents in dimes and pennies, and a Schlage key. On to the next tot-lot tomorrow....

    Ooooh, Shiny thing!

Got in about 20 minutes at a new site, and this was my first find before 4 pennies and a rainstorm. I see a few tiny scratches, so no way it can be a diamond. I'm thinking CZ or glass. The gem actually looks much better in person, refracting different colors. It looks to be in a silver...

Ace 250 and Lone Star are not the best of friends.

I'm not sure why this happens.. Is it that the Ace 250 is much more sensitive than the Bounty Hunter Lone Star, or does the Lone Star throw off some signal that the Ace doesn't like? The Bounty Hunter stays silent while the Ace goes crazy! These two machines have to be at least 10-15' away...

    A pair of duckies

Made another withdrawal from the bank of Goldburn, and found these beauties about 10' apart.

    Best one day clad yet!

My hunting partner and I have finally found a great spot. This is from a partial playground, volleyball court, and grass field. Quite a bit of it was right on the surface! Pictured is: 1 Canadian Dollar coin 12 Quarters 19 Dimes 7 Nickels 34 Pennies 1 Junk earring Not pictured is various...

My Garrett Ace 250 Video - Testing with US Golden Dollar Coins

I decided to make a video showing the differences in readouts of varying amounts of dollar coins. This is more of a fun video than an educational one, however you can see that when the coins increase in number in a small location the readouts will jump from silver coin to iron to nickel and...

    Clean beach :ranting:

I've hunted our local beach off of Lake Saint Clair (MetroPark Michigan) several times. I've never ran into another detectorist there, and I think I now know why! This beach is as clean as a whistle! I can hunt in all metal mode, with sensitivity on high and not hear a peep from my Ace250 for...

I give the Ace 250 a big thumbs up!

I've searched my yard completely about a half dozen times in the past 2 months with the BH LS, playing with different settings, and have come up with about $5 in clad, 3 silver Roosevelts, and a few 50's era wheats. I thought I had plucked it dry until I received my Ace 250 today (with the...
