    Cold is the key word, wind was just a killer today and just couldn't concentrate as well, four hours today, and the totals: 3 Clad quarters, 6 clad dimes, 2 Mercs(40, 41-D), 6 memorial cents, 8 wheats(1909-1950), and 1 Indian Cent(1906)

    Went for an hour and a half this evening...

    Grided the "wheat field again...man sometimes it a pain gridding, but the results can be good...todays finds: 1 Clad Quarter, 1 1941 Merc, 1 clad nickel, 1 Memorial, and 9 wheats(30's-40's)!

    Change purse found...

    Went back to the "Wheat Firld" again and midway thru my hunt found at about four inches was a change purse, unfortunately no dimes or quarters, but there was a 42-P War Nickel, and six wheats(4 in the 30'2 and 2 in the 40's). Still an interesting find!

    Short hunt tonight...

    and hit the "wheat field" again...found: 2 clad dimes, 1943 Merc, 2 clad nickels, 1929 Buffalo Nickel, 3 memorial cents and eight wheat cents(1920-1944). Love hunting in Feb, but that wind tonight had me shaking!! Not going to find "older" coins as this was a hot spot in the 20's - 40"s.

    Recent Finds...

    The watchs and calculator key chain found walking by a sled hill between areas I hunt...1904 Barber Dime, a few wheats, mostly in the 30's, silver ring, Forrest Service button, deep, maybe seven inches deep, a couple tokens, and a "shirley president" fastener. Thanks for looking!

    Hit a small playground and found the 10 kt heart with a small diamond with the auquamarine stone, hit the park for most of the other stuff...The Indian is 1902, the three wheats are17-D, 20, and 46-D.     First Barber of the year...

    Used my backup detector today(XS 2) between rain showers, found 12 coins, including these six, 1907-D Barber Dime and five wheats(19(2), 25, 35, 51). Most of the wheats were in the three inch range, and the dime just a little deeper. Might have to put this Explorer 2 to a full workout this...

    Hit a small Park near a town I worked today...COLD, just plain cold...but had the bug and didn't know how much longer I have before the snow/freeze comes...ended the day with 3 quarters, 8 dimes, 4 nickels, 6 mems, 6 wheats(17, 18, 34, 41, 45, 52-D), and three silver dimes(18, 42, and 51-D)...
