    Located small Infantry camp

    Yesterday got out for a few hours and located a small infantry camp. Lots of brass and iron. Will be heading back tomorrow for a returned visit. This could be interesting and I strongly believe a large camp is nearby. Thanks for looking. Steve

    Here is the rest of Saturdays finds

    I'm very excited about this tongue piece. I was told this is one of the rarest designs of the Taussig style eagle buckle! The tongue and wreath do not match, wreath found 300yds. away at another encampment. This only means there are more pieces to be found...yahoooo! The buttons found at top...

    Found a Counterfeit Seated Half

    This is my first counterfeit coin found in a cw campsite. It's an 1857 seated half dollar. They pocked the suspension hole right through the head of ole miss liberty! Also found couple shoulder scale pieces and a pinfire cartridge. Thanks for looking. :)

    Thursday went digging 3 hours after work. Button on left I can see U S beneath crust and it is a complete one-piece flat pewter U S button (1808-1830) , next button is a Great Coat cuff sized button 1820's and the long cylindrical brass piece with slit down center is candle stick holder...

    Found another camp!

    Had a real good day digging. Found a spanish reale coin made into a necklace, 3 nice U.S Great coat buttons, 4 cuff sized D buttons, rivet with leather attatched, roundballs and several other neat items. Thanks for looking and have a great week ya'll!!!

    Weather was unseasonably cool this weekend but the grass was super tall limiting where I could go. Found a nice coat and cuff sized Dragoon buttons, a couple epualette pieces, a lead bar, a pocketknife and some other neat stuff. Thanks for looking and have a great week! :)
