    today's digs

    Nemo...can you ID this bullet for me?

    First Dragoons for 2009

    Ground froze solid

    Went out yesterday and chiseled my way to find a few relics. Tough goin! Managed to pull a couple pieces that went to an early brass stirrup, roundballs, flat lead ball with hole, lead bar with letter F, some more kettle pieces, padlock piece with initials XCRW (not sure what initials mean)...

    Cleaned Cavalry buttons

    Used a little aluminum jelly on buttons and got alittle gold to come out. Ready for display case now.
