    Hit the fields yesterday...

Started out using 12"Hotshot coil on the MXT. Covered alot of ground came upon second hill, started finding small brass buckles and alot of square nails. Replaced Hotshot coil with 6x10 DD coil and sniffed around the iron, kicked out some lead, a eagle button and a cool looking spur. I'm...

Closeup pic of error on edge of 1834 Capped Bust Half...

Edge is suppossed to say, "FIFTY CENTS OR HALF A DOLLAR". But if you look real closely, where it says "HALF" it has "OR HALF" overlaying each other and it is missing the letter "H" for HALF. Any coin experts out there who can tell me how this was done and does it increase the value other than...

I have a question about the 1834 Capped Bust Half...

On the edges, it's supposed to have stamped "FIFTY CENTS OR HALF A DOLLAR", but instead, the word "HALF" is mispelled. The "OR HALF" is overlaid on each other and it is missing the letter "H". Does this increase the value more than what the book gives? I'm sure Collectors look for this kind...

Can someone teach me the CHICKEN DANCE!!!!!!!

Out hunting a CW campsite, finding bullets and a few button backs. MXT gives off a beautiful highpitched tone a VDI +90, in pinpoint mode the target was very smooth and smaller than what you would get when you hit a pop can. Dug down about 6" and out pops my oldest U.S. minted coin EVER...

    Hunting in the snow!

If anyone is wondering if the MXT can perform in extreme cold conditions, well, today I can tell you it performed perfectly. The temperature was 6 degrees and windchill had to be below zero. It snowed all day and the MXT did a great job! Hunted a battlefield today and along this fence line at...

    Good day of Relic hunting!

Been trying to locate another cw campsite along the Military road. Hit an area that looked promising where an old farmhouse use to be right next to the road. Cranked on the DFX and my first hit was a nice cw toe plate, I thought hmmm... this place is going to be interesting. About 10 minutes...

    Relic hunting today

Got out for about 4 hours today. I usually use the MXT when I go relic hunting but today I just wanted to use my DFX for a change. Hit the field where a CW campsite is and after about 45 minutes of hunting I finally got a good deep hit and managed to pull up a beautiful .45 Merrill...
