Oh no wheres that gone ??

You find out the old way. Gain isnt everything anyway, sens is much more important. I set my senses at 92-75 and lower gain util its stable. If it aint stable with gain 7 or above i lower my senses in small portions. The RX gain recommendation was just as predictable as your local psycic...

Oh no wheres that gone ??

You got it the wrong way. You can stll check for overload at gain 15 but you will not have any recommended RX gain.

Is there a down to earth explanation

You have to learn it the hard way with experimenting and testing. Only difference between Expert ( only ) and regular is the possibility to ( setup ) custom color preferences. I have changed my 7,5 freq color to black from green in common and uses that in all programs. Easier for me to see the...

    Sensitivity Capabilities of the V3

Not only deep small iron. It is insanely sensitive on anything small. I am working a park with the 4x6" that I have been using all my detectors in. Small tiny bits of foil sings out like never before and some even at some depth ( 1-2 inches ). And they ID correctly in the 0-5 VDI range. It...

    Question about wireless repercussions

The cell issue is due to the insane transmitter in the cellphone.

Has anyone come up with a program that mimics the MXT?

I think 100 for it it way to much though.. lol.. Can anyone please list the name of all the programs in the V3i library, i think maybe there is several new programs there.

    V3 did it for me....:inlove:

Thanks guys.... it was a stunning rally in all aspects. The coil is the standard elliptical 6x10, absolutely no test coil. The camera effect makes it look round. Google translate managed to translate 6-7 grams to 6.7 ounces.. The true weight is not known yet but probably between 6 and 10...

How does Spectra V3 compare to the DFX on depth penetration?

The V3 can be set up find deep higher conductors as deep as explorer, and it can be set up to find lower conductors deeper then Explorer. All in the same detector. But to get the best of both You may need to use two different programs. However it will be deeper then explorer on low conductors in...

How does Spectra V3 compare to the DFX on depth penetration?

I have found my V3 to be just as deep as my Explorer on the Items the Explorer is good at ( mainly higher conductors ) The V3 kicks explorer butt on lower conductors though. No comparison what so ever. The DFX can be adjusted many ways as the V3. With a badly adjusted V3 against a perfectly...

    V3i

I dont think so. They are allready out of that league and they wont turn back because of a few posts on the forums. After all those who understand the benefit do speak out too. This will make many detectorists whites customers for life. Some need to let it sink in a few months maybe.

Just noticed that the recovery delay goes up to 200...

I have tested all my coils in my test garden and been everywhere in the recovery delay from 1 to 200. I see that most people try to down their recovery delay on the small coils but according to what I observe a higher number works better if you want to tweek depth out of them and not only...

    V3i

I think it has something to do with company profile. Founder or family operated businesses often has a closer relationship to the end user and often is the motivation behind the business not only bottom line dollars but they take more pride in their products. Whites have had the DFX for 8...

    V3i

But frustration will always be a part of it when You buy a new machine close to an upgrade, whites took care of that but unfornunately some early buyers have had their machine sent in numerous times and get pissed. I remember when other machines have been released. E-Trac release was very tight...

    V3i

Its very easy I think to misjudge Whites for this upgrade. Personally I love this upgrade possibility and i understand the benefit from it. Whites could easily have waited another year or more and then released the V4 or V3 SE for that matter. They could even have dropfed these upgrades in...

    Polar Plot

Good visuals Rob. The Plot seems to be a better way for me to tell good targets from bad then the analyze graph. I wonder what object you had making those irregular sircles. An aluminium pulltab is actally a " good " metal target, so is an aluminium screwcap. What makes them worthless is not...

How hard is the V3 setup

Not very hard, but You can make it complex if you need it. I just finished my first day in the yard after the snow has gone and Im not sure how to say alot in few words.. let me try. The step from SE to Etrac was a small step for Minelab but the step from DFX to V3 is a huge leap for...

Will the DFX do anything that the V3 will not do or is it better than the V3 at anything?

I think the V3 does all the things the DFX does. As a backup i would have the MXT instead and it is closer to your T2 and F75 too then the DFX in ease and performance. Worth a thought anyway..
