    Nancy and Joel please look at this ...

    This was my very first old coin with my MXT and it was in great shape with no "black spots"....now look :cry: Does this look normal? Is it good to have it get like this? Thanks so much for the advice I really appreaciate it

    Silver coins.....HELP :cry:

    I need help with my silver coins I've found.....I was looking at them and they are getting a dark black looking color on them....I have (had) them in those little cardboard holders with the plastic coat in an album....What should I put them in and how can I get that black stuff off

    some coins

    Some older coins I've found in recent weeks.....1898 dimes, 18?6 large cent, 1863 IH penny and what I think is a broke piece of a reale but I'm not sure. It's been a slow year in finding anything but I'm going out again when it cools down some :hot: 97 degrees the last couple days.

    eagle rosette?

    I don't know if this is a rosette or not. It's the exact same size as a large penny ...it's buggered up pretty good but there's clearly an eagle on it..the back is blank.....Is that about the right size for a rosette or does it look like something else? I thought they were a little bigger...

    does a max coil make that much of a difference?

    Does the biggest coil make a difference? I dig up some things with my stock coil that just sounds like a small murmer and it turns out to be something good. I just feel I'm passing up a lot of things that my coil won't pick up. Would the super big coil give me better signals on deeper targets...

    Any ideas on what these are?

    I dug these 2 items at an old homesite where I also found a few CW bullets. Any ideas on what they are? What looks like dirt on the item to the right with the design is actually a nice gold gilt! Thanks!!

    Unusual 2 ring sharps bullet

    unusual 2 ring bullet........maybe a sharps carbine? Thought it was different than the usual minie or pistol bullet.

    Digging a frozen ground :surrender:

    Anybody got any tips for detecting a frozen ground. The weather get's nice from time to time but the ground is pretty frozen and it's near impossible to dig. I've about given up until spring but when it hits 50 I go crazy to get out. Any tips??

    Bullet with a tail?

    Eagle button ID - Odd symbol on shield

    At first I thought it was an infantry button but the I looked closer and the bottom of what I thought was an I kind of hooks upward. There is no back only the front. Anybody know what this might be?

    My first carved bullet

    I've only been detecting for a year and I've always loved the carved bullets. This is my first one and appears to be a tooth. Much more personal than a dropped bullet.

    Something I've noticed with the MXT

    I've noticed when I get a signal that is originally an iron signal on a deeper target that if I take up just a little dirt it always rings good until I get it out. Then it's an iron piece like the original signal. Is that the way it is for you guys? I still only have a stock 950 coil.
