    Starting to get fed up with V3i.... when on beach

    I had a real bad problem with EMI in a park that had a cell tower, and big electric lines nearby. When I used the freq offset it seemed to calm it down. I put it at offset +3 and I was able to hunt in 3 freq mode again. Maybe that would help?

    Seeded Hunt Settings?

    I am going to my first seeded hunt in about a month. Because the coins are on the surface. Should I turn the gain way down? All I have is the stock D2 coil. I am also thinking maybe keep it off the surface by an inch or so? Anyone have a program or advice for surface only finds? :laugh...

    Second day with V3i ring but not gold

    New V3i!

    After much research, got my V3i home. Decided to use it right out of box with no adjustments. Went to close by school for a couple of hours. Big learning curve after using the Fisher F4. Here is some of the stuff I found. Can't wait to get into the customization.

    4 hour hunt at park. One wheatie..

    Went to a larger park today. Hunted for 4 hours. Got a lot of clad. Tons of tabs and bottle caps. No silver. One wheatie. And what looks like a big bullet. Not sure what it is.

    Sunday's Hunt

    Went to the near by elementary school. Hit the field for an hour an a half. Lot of pull tabs, but I did end up with some clad and junk chains. I love the pewter sports figure. That sucker was about 6" down. Read between nickel and foil.

    2 weeks of hunting and finally found first Ring

    I got my F4 about 2 weeks ago. Been hunting on and off. Finally got my first ring! Problem is don't know if its trash or good. No indicator on the ring what metal it is. It showed as a solid 23 which is Foil. Found it in a park. Was only about 4" down. Junk or not.. It was an exciting find.
