One More Gold For The Year!

There was a huge wind storm here in the Spokane Coeur d'Alene Area last night. I love it when the wind blows and the waves crash into the shoreline. There was a 3 foot cut in the beach and I hit it with my DFX. Ironically my best find was an eyeball find. Right at the entrance to the beach near...

2 Compass Yukon Coin Hustler II detectors for sale

I am parting with a couple of treasures from my metal detector collection. I have 2 Yukon Coin Hustler II detectors I will part with. One is working and one is not. The one that works is a firm 125.00 and the other that is not is a firm 100.00. The non working unit should be a simple fix, I'm...

1st 1968 Redline Custom Cougar Hotwheels

I found my first 1st 1968 Redline Custom Cougar Hotwheels today. I went back to where I helped the guy find his property stakes, and found the nice Courtway Bros. trade token. Too bad the hot wheel wasn't in better shape. The ring was a bit of a let down, it said 18K G E, for gold electroplate...

Trade Token's, The New Gold Standard

Yesterday, I was driving home from a short hunt in the ball field and saw someone with a detector digging holes in the corner of his yard. Curious, I stopped and asked if he was having any luck? He said he was looking for property pins. He was a total newby, with an inexpensive borrowed machine...

War nickels...I can't figure em out

Here's a clip of a recently dug war nickel I dug. It was silver, but there are some early war nickels that are not silver that may give you a VDI 19 signal. Just like a regular nickel signal on a white's machine. I believe it gave me a 72 signal. Stop the clip early and look at the number on the...

    Always dig the Overload Signal?

Do you always dig the overload signal you get on your machine? I recently started after I found those trash pit signals of overload could mean treasure. I recently dug this trash pit from the teens and came up with an array of items. Some were quite valuable. Oh also, be sure to clean up after...

Silver War Nickel with VDI #'S

Ever wonder what VDI numbers a war nickel gives? Well I do know that it depends on the program you use and how deep it is. I really love using the GoPro Hero 3 on my head to watch what info is coming from my V3i or any other machine I use. (I have way too many). I can go back and review what the...

    A New Silver Honey Hole

I pulled a long over due silver out of this spot last week so I went back. Even though it was a silver Rosie. It was a 1946, which is early, so if there's one there's more where that came from. Two more silver is encouraging around here. This is the same place i pulled a silver 35 Washington...

    Today's Short Dig With Silver.

We put a lot of miles on today and went back to an old ghost town, but came up empty. Well, we just found a few bottles and a shaving cup. So after I got home i went down the block and did a house tear down. Hit the mercury first and then the V nickel. Nice! I haven't broke 1900 for a while...

Silver x2 plus watch/key fob and silver mustache comb

Had a great dig today off of my craigslist add. I advertise free cache hunting on it and it gets me into new properties. Some day we'll find a great cache, but not today. We did get 3 silver rings, 3 rosies , 1 merc, and a buffalo. The watch fob was pretty cool and the tortoise shell/silver...

Grand Forks Idaho Anheuser Hotel/saloon token 20C

Went to an old ghost town in our neck of the woods and stumbled across this little beauty. A rare 20c Anheuser hotel/saloon token from Grand forks Idaho. Grand Forks burned down in the 1910 fire, so anything you find is in pretty rough shape. Still a rare find of old history. Go get you some.

Morning Stroll, + a new first!

Have you ever found a squished quarter? That's a first for me. That's what I found on the beach like a foot deep! Couldn't believe it. I thought it was silver by the tone I heard on the DFX. It was giving me an 87 VDI. Oh and I found another mine detector army guy. I always get a kick out of...
