    Adjustable Video Mount

I really like that camera mount EMS! Any link pointing me to the right direction in ordering one would be greatly appreciated. Your videos look good. The best I have seen for a live hunt shot. Thanks for your dedication to the V3i. You have some good information coming to light. Jack

Looking at getting a V3-looking for deep silver.

I am one of those people that nw1886 just warned you about. The D2 is vastly superior to the 950 in all but low mineralized strength soils. I couldn't resist nw. :surrender:

    Cut nail VDI question

Make sure to cross check at a 90 degree angle and look for splatter. You might try backing down on your RX to 11 or 12. With that much iron in the ground you might want to consider Correlate mode, and narrow your Span setting until the nails start breaking up. Next time you have a hit like this...

Video of the V3i on a deep SL quarter

Sorry, by frequency I was meaning, are you using Best Data or Correlate? It looks as though the target is wrapping when the +94 and +95 are showing red. Was there something else in the hole?

Video of the V3i on a deep SL quarter

I have a few questions on your settings Southwind. Are you rejecting +94 and +95? What is your recovery Delay and frequency? What is your All Metal set at? Thanks for posting the videos. It looks as though you are wrapping a bit. It's tough to shoot and swing. Let me know if you come up with a...

Hello Schultzie! Nice to hear from you friend. Hope all is well with you. You are too kind. One of the things I really enjoy about detecting is sharing discoveries and experiences with equipment and technique here on the forums. For me it is an unending learning experience. We all now that...

    New to the V3 a few questions....correlate

I think it has a lot to do with it. There are several settings that work hand in hand in this area. Filter settings, Recovery Delay, and your physical swing speed are what I consider the keys to getting down deep. I use a 5.0 Hz Band Pass, and a 5.0 Hz High in low EMI environments. My current...

What was your span and wrap at? My current Span setting is set at 45 My current Wrap setting is at -94 What level (low, med, high) and type (iron, none, conductive - VDI # from ground tracking+zoom) of ground mineralization do you have? My soil is moderate in mineralization strength. I have...

    New to the V3 a few questions....correlate

Yes, I am aware that one is not for the V3/V3i. As I stated, The link was provided for those interested. Sorry that was so confusing for you. I was just sharing the origins of my interest in the Correlate mode. My current revision for the V3/V3i is not posted yet as I am still authoring an...

    New to the V3 a few questions....correlate

Well, where do I start? I have been a fan of the Correlate mode since we first saw it with the introduction of the White's DFX. I used a program I developed over time in the field in combination with the Super12 coil. Here is a link to a PDF file with notes and the program if anyone is...

    Done with the D2 coil.

Only 3??? I have had 5. My latest is rock solid and has lasted longer than the previous coils. Whites has this issue under control as far as I am concerned. They never even hesitated to help me out and sent a replacement without delay every single time. I would highly recommend you stay with...

    Modulation experiment

Well, This was a touchy subject for me over at the Whites forum for sure. Bob Canaday gave me this tip early on. After using this setting my hunts immediately became much more pleasing to the ear, so to speak. :detecting: Rob, you are correct. I am using the 1.1 software version. The range...

    Question

Don't forget that you still have 2 other frequencies to help you out during pinpointing. Don't just look at the dominant pin point frequency. Look for the second most dominant as well. A 7.5kHz followed by a 2.5kHz is very different than a 7.5kHz followed bye a 22.5kHz. You have heard it said...

    Headphones really Necessary

You will enjoy those Grey Ghost originals. I would not hunt without mine.

    VX3 questions for the newbies.......

I currently have my Span Limit set to 45. This setting was based on getting a good response from a Nickel at 8 inches or so. The lower conductive targets require the greatest span at depth. This due to the 22.5kHz frequency being out there on it's own so to speak. The 7.5kHz and the 2.5 kHz...
