    Grass is always greener.

I know many will not comment on this post if any but I am SO looking forward to my short 5 day stay in the states starting the end of this month. "Dig" of course is awesome and has offered to hang with me a bit on my trip to Tampa area. I am looking forward to that. As well as some people on...

    Need a headphone help.

Has anyone changed headphone on the Excal or put the speakers out of old headphones into different headphones? I can't stand the yellow headphones. They fit like crap. I have thought about putting my OLD redheads on my new excal, the problem is, the old excal has a leak and I am not sure where...

I'm am praying for Hawaii and West coast now...

Good luck to all that's going to be affected by the tsunami. We all want ruff surf, but I don't think this is what we were asking for. Chris

Not as easy as some may think...

There is a lot of digging that goes into finding gold. This is the last 3 days of hunts. I go out for 3 to 4 hours at a time, usually in the early morning. I don't usually post all the crap I dig, nor do I usually post silver rings. I figured I would show the amount of targets I dig to find...

    Silver/18k

Weighs 12g, found in the water around knee to waist deep. This is the first gold ring for a few weeks, maybe that means I'm back in the game. Trying to keep up with the big boys on here, but with "DIG" digging chains, that's hard to compete with. Chris Cayman Islands

    Some coins...

My girlfriend was going through some of her Grand daddys things and ran across these. I am a beach hunter, so I know a little about jewelry, but not coins. I am from the States, but these coins are and have been on Grand Cayman islands for some time. Is there anything here of great value? Not...

    18K White gold

Found it in the sand where all the tourist sit. I've been lazy lately. I need to get back out in the water, just wasn't feeling it today. Still scored a nice little ticket for a hour hunt this morning. Thanks, Chris

got out a few hours this am..Yellow and white in scoop!

14k, 8gr yellow and white gold. Looked for this guys ring for him the other day, but the beach was crowded. So I got up and went out this am. The ocean had some pretty big swells coming in so I decided to go back to the Westin and look for the ring again. Found the ring....now the hard part is...

    #4 Gold 2011

Found in water using Excal II about chest deep. We had some slightly rough seas yesterday which pushed a lot of change and other targets in. Gold ring is 14k and 6gr. Also found this little silver key pendent. Some in one of my last post asked what they white stuff was on my scales. I used to be...

    #3 Gold for 2011.

Well it's not much, but it's gold. 14k white/yellow and 1gr. I'll take it because it just puts me that much closer to 4 gold rings. I found it in the water, waist deep and maybe 3 inches deep in sand. Today was a 4 hour hunt. I dug all targets. I was hoping my ear may be refreshed on how...

    2010 Gold

Here is a couple of pics of my gold finds for 2010. I sold some of it the last trip I took to the states. Sold 1st batch of gold to ARA and will continue to deal with them. Would like to have a picture of it all together, but at gold prices the way they are.....It's hard not to get a extra...

    #1 for 2011

So here is #1 gold for 2011. It is white gold, 10g and 18k. Found using Excal II waist deep about 6"-8" deep. I did find a lot of stuff New Years day at the local beach bars. I came home that day with a nice igloo cooler full of cold beer and 2 un-opened 5ths of Bacardi, 60 dollars in cash, 1...

    Since I'm posting

So this is what I found on our recent trip to Jamaica. I actually metal detected only 4 hours and waist to neck deep. We stayed in the Montego Bay area which doesn't have much of really nice beaches. There were two places downtown that were "privately" owned, one called Doctors Cave, which is...

    last week.

Found this one last week. It's been a little slow here lately OR I have just been missing the gold. I work the public beach area almost everyday for at least 3 hours, 5 days a week. I find all sorts of stuff and dig almost all targets. I only post the gold though. Chris
