    GTI 1500 question............trashy locations

    Went to a couple locations over the weekend that had a lot of trash in the ground. My detector couldn't lock on any good targets. I use the "coins" preset setting for sensitivity. Would lowering this setting help lock on better targets ? How low would you go ? I know about the different...

    Ok.....I need suggestions on coils

    I have a stock coil on my GTI 1500. Is there a coil recombination for sites that have a lot trash in the ground. I went to a river front park today and my detector couldn't lock on anything. Ended up leaving empty handed. I know the smaller coils will work, but no imaging. So my question is...

    Went out with my brand new PP........

    I just could not believe how good it is. Recovering coins are a breeze, smaller plugs and some coins I didn't need to dig....just used a screwdriver. Too bad all I found was about 3 dollars in clad, although I found a Canadian Dime which looked like silver but I can't see a date on it...

    GTI 1500.....Beach Detectors?

    I moving to Delaware next month and wondering it the Garrett will do the job on beaches. I understand the "salt elimination" function on the machine but wonder how effective it will be ? Do I need another detector for beach hunting ?

    Soil moisture changes detector characteritics?

    Yesterday i went to a local park and dug a handful of coins. Today I went back to the same park and my detector (GTI 1500) acted differently. Seems like it wasn't as senstive as the day before. My question is ....Does soil mositure change the detectors sensitivity?
