    One thing I like to do but usually forget to is to trim up the brush around where you are hunting.     a few from today..

    Since the growth is down I headed into the brush and managed a 63 IH and a few unidentified dug objects. I did get my first double bladed axe. I think I will clean it up nice for display. Hope you all have power up this way after the winds, and all is well elsewhere. Have a good one!

    A couple whatzits...

    I found these things today. The ornate one is gold plated and surrounds a dowel . It is broken at one end so may have been longer. The other thing is heavy duty copper and inscription reads V.CLICQUOT.P I vaguely remember seeing that on a bottle so may be a top. Looks like a hole in the middle...

    I have a lot of people asking me about an inexpensive good detector....

    for $200-400 (new or used). I like the Whites Classic models or IDX but have heard mention the ACE 250 was a deep seeking, good detector, with tone I.D.. Anyone have any views on this or other good detectors in this $ range?

    My dad gave me some goodies last weekend...

    The CT copper is 1786 and large cent is an 1802 with 1802 stamped under the one cent on reverse. The pieces of 8 are two of my favorite treasures. Maybe I'll find a piece of 8 or old state copper this year. I can only keep searching. Hope you like the pics and have a good one.
