    Weekend finds.

I haven't posted in a while because I've been a little busy. I had a chance to do a little coin hunting this weekend. I ended up with a first. I usually don't find any silver coins when I'm hunting places that I've hunted over and over, but Friday I ended up with a 1941-D Mercury dime and in...

    Saturday finds

I went to a lot that used to be a ball field at the turn of the century. The lot has 80 years worth of leaves and pine straw, so I think most of the old stuff will be very deep, plus years of trash. Didn't find much but did finds a nice 1945 silver quarter with S mint mark and an old Rouge case...

    Beach finds

Went to North Myrtle Beach, S.C. over the weekend and got in a little coin hunting. I was pleased with the way the T2 handled. I believe it will be a good beach machine, maybe not for the wet sand, but very good in the dry sand. I found a coin a long way from home. A 100 Won from Korea. Its...

    Broken hand grip

The grip broke at the base of the grip on my T2. If I repair it myself will that void the warranty? I can fiberglass it and keep on detecting but I don't know if it will void the warranty.

    Finds today.

On my way to work I stopped by the local lake in the hometown where I grew up in, for about a 30 min. hunt. The lake had been drained so I figured I stop for a quick look see. I picked up 2 penny right off, the 2 rings, which I figured were kids rings, then I picked up what I thought was a flat...

    T2 coin finds

Yesterday was the first real test for coin hunting since I got the T2. I've been mainly relic hunting, so I got the ok to hunt a local burger hangout dating back to the 50's and 60's. It was open as a beer joint for a while also. I had a couple of hours so I wanted to see how well the T2 worked...

    1st Gold

[attachment 46742 LVstuff.jpg]My 1st class ring and 1st gold with the T2. I spent the morning at a lake a couple of miles from where I work. I found out the lake was down so I headed up that way. The lake was the resort area back a the turn of the century. Some old coin have been pulled out of...

    Block I button

I had about and hour and a half before I had to go to work, so I figured I would take my T2 bloodhound out to our little spot outside of town to see if I could find some more Tranter bullets. Well I didn't find any bullets, except a couple of 22's, but I did find this beautiful block I button...

    Tranter Bullets

The metal detector gods were smiling today. I went out for a couple of hours, to our hunted out site, and out popped these 44 caliber Tranter bullets. These make 7 that have been found in this small area. These were not that common during the civil war. The first picture is a pistol that was...

    Rifle hammer

We went out for a nice cool morning hunt and turned up some nice relics. Some musket balls and a hammer from a rifle, and because of the location could be confederate. I have had it cooking in my electrolysis tub since yesterday. I took it out to wire brush it, so I took some pictures. This is...

    T2 Sniffs out percussion caps

These are my first percussion caps and the T2 sniffed them out. There were also some small pieces of aluminum all around the spot, and that maybe why nobody found them before.[attachment 42044 percussioncaps1.jpg] Can anyone give me some information on this ball? The ball is .310 in diameter...

    T2 depth

For those of you that are just starting out with the T2 or those that have had yours for a while, here is an example of the depth they will reach. I got a soft but repeatable signal and started to dig, I use a garden spade for all my digging even at the beach, and dug half the length of my...

    44 caliber Tranter

Went out Sunday afternoon for a few hours of hunting. The T2 got a real faint signal that didn't repeat. I had a feeling something was there so I pinpointed it and got a good pinpoint. Down about 7 to 10 inches popped out a 44 caliber Tranter. This site has given up a few buttons and a few...
