    Lead and large cent

Man that's something. They turn up anywhere here. Large cents & King George coppers are common. I run into them a good looking old camping spots looking for civil war relics. Any coin I find now is a byproduct of relic hunting. Once upon a time I looked for coins & older relics more so than...

    Lead and large cent

    Thanks. I like finding them.

    Last hunt of the year.

Thanks buddy. I had another fellow ask the same question. I counted & came up with 647 bullets. That's round balls, .58" three ringers, .69" three ringers, Prussians, Gardiner explosives, Gardners, Enfields, sharps, pistol, Burnsides & Spencer's. I didn't count the odd ball stuff & buckshot. I...

big coil for gpx 4500 and battery

I don't have any experience with those detectors. I know people who used the MXT for relic hunting & really liked it. I use gold machines for civil war relic hunting. They do very well in challenging ground. Like my G2/F19 & GPX4500. The 4500 would be my choice for gold hunting. All of the...

big coil for gpx 4500 and battery

I don't know much about that machine. I've heard it doesn't discriminate iron. That would be bad. I have a TDI & doesn't discriminate iron very well. It collects dust now. The Minelab GP series are incredible.

    Round ball kind of day.

Yes lots of them. They're for the .69" smoothbore. I've found the .69, .58 & .54 cal bullets at this spot in a relatively small area.

    Lead and large cent

I went back to a old spot that's produced some pretty cool stuff over the years the other day. It was not really huntable but managed to find a couple keepers.

    Round ball kind of day.

I went relic hunting this afternoon again & got into some round balls. Everything I'm posting is Gettysburg campaign.

Barrel band, bayonet finial & fuse.

There must've been a house or shack at this spot. Lots of iron. Early inhabitants through now. I mean infested with iron & a electric fence. I'd love to get the farmer to shut his fence off for a little bit. Some of them will & that really helps. I'd love to be able to run my gpx in that spot.

Barrel band, bayonet finial & fuse.

I checked out a new spot & got into some relics. Some are really old & some are civil war. The barrel band is a first.
  19. Digger70pa

    Check this stuff out.

Some of this is old. Some is civil war I think. Some I have no idea.
