    At one time I was addicted to buying Compadres. I have owned 7-8 of them...lol. Most of them different models. Round hole speaker, horizontal hole. 8" doughnut, 7" concentric, 5.75 concentric and the Euro version which had volume control.

    I just recently bought a mint Silver Sabre Umax on ebay but I could not get it to stop falsing. I sent it back to seller and got refunded. I would have gotten it fixed but I've heard East Texas was slow as molasses. Some guys waiting months to get there machine back. I doubt I will ever get...

    Used the 5x10 dd today and it was a world of difference. I doubt the 8" concentric goes back on.

    It seems my Minuteman falses a lot with the 8" concentric. I just swapped my 5x10 elliptical off my G2+ and it seems to false less. The Minuteman is 7.7 khz and G2+19khz. Does swapping of coils change the khz on Minuteman?

    I used the 340 on a couple relic hunts and it seemed to high tone on deep rusty nails more than any machine I've used. Parted ways with it. Did find a nice gold ring with it in a tot lot.

    I have the 5x8 and have had the Mars 7" on a Fisher F 22. I recently got the 7x11 Viper for my Pro and I like it. It gives you the best of both a small and a large coil. No more switching coils for me. I'm selling my 5x8 and 8x11.

    Banning of metal detecting

    Have a cousin who told me years ago that the dirt you dig out of a hole will not be enough to refill it. I believe him. And he was not talking about metal detecting. Have gone to fields that I have hunted weeks earlier that the holes had settled a inch lower than when I filled them after a rain.

    At Pro is 15 khz At Gold is 18 khz I think. I have a Pro and relic hunt with a guy who uses the Gold. It about even as far as finds go. I think he said the Gold only has one tone. I don't hunt by tones, I go by the #'s. I used the Viper coil today and love it.

    I'm with you Monte. I like my At Pro & G2+ because they are so simple and fast to setup. I get headaches watching Calabash's modern detector setups and tests...lol.
