    Now I understand that the TX boost should be used in very low mineral.......preferably the beaches......it's kinda useless in the med to high mineral grounds....When I use it I'm always having to tone things down again.....now that's in med to low mineral grounds.....so your almost better off...

    Lets say you have to lower the RX at 3 to be stable......and if you kick the TX boost on wouldn't that make you unstable again?

    I don't have an issue with mine.....I just thought that RX gain has to do allot with depth.....and for some individuals here....that setting has to be turned real low to be stable.....But I've read that TX Boost, Disc, and all metal (if running mixed mode) has more to do with depth than RX gain..

    I've been reading allot of people have a sensitivity problem....and they have to bring the RX gain all the way down to 1 to 4.....to be stable.....doesn't this really loose allot the depth range? It's kinda to bad with the power this machine delivers and can't even use it......

    OK...2.5khz is for silver signals 22.5 is for nickle and gold what is 7.5 good for? I see that relic program is set for all three..What are the advantages in just using 7.5?

    Quick question for you folks regarding changing settings on the v3......

    I went in the expert menu and put all live controls on the programs I use the most...so I don't have to go to the six block menu.....saves me allot of steps. I know that last adjustment you make stays highlighted so you can go back to it quickly if need to if that's what you mean.

    Ok I am about to give up on my Vision at the beach.

    Jason the D2 doesn't do well in the wet sand.....as it states on their website under FAQ's for the V3.....go with the standard 950 concentric coil....this should take care of the stability problem...

    That's kinda strange that a bottle cap reading in the 90's ....... usually caps run about 50's to 60's....I have run that program once haven't come across that situation yet.

    I bought my Spectra V3 last week and mine does the switching from mono to stereo to mono...I have the 1.1 firmware....a friend of mine says his does the same...I rather have the stereo sound. Has anybody has had this issue..

    Have to agree with Larry that is a loaded question....Some people here have the funds and buy both...from there which ever they like more they keep and sell or keep the other for backup.

The D2 is for high mineral.....I'm surprised Whites didn't just put a standard concentric coil....and at least you'll have a choice to buy the D2 for high mineral ground if you have it or the Super12"...
