    Musket Balls, Buttons, and Largies

I've been hitting a bunch of fields the last few weeks. This one has given up a handful of large coppers and Indians. Doing some research and there was an early 1800s home either in the far corner of the field or in the neighboring gravel pit. I decided I better see if I could find if it was in...

    Major Bucklister Checked Off

Was out trying to find where a colonial cabin/tavern were and I think I'm pretty close! It's pretty toasted but don't even care! There was iron right next to it so I almost missed it. I'll be hammering that area tomorrow.

    5000 BC Copper Celt

The history of natives is astonishing. From talking to them today and doing some research some period copper has shown up in the Michigan area. To find copper where I am is rare and to find copper this old is extremely rare from what she said. The celt saw tons of use from what she said looking...

    Hatchet head?

I definitely will and thanks for the help getting this IDed! I don't know if I'll ever top this find. I had no idea it could be as old as it is. Once I decide to pass it on it will go to the place that I took it to today. I knew it was special and rare from seeing their reactions and facial...

    5000 BC Copper Celt

I posted this in the Whatzit section but now that I know what it is I'll post it here and lock or delete the other since I have it IDed. Found this on the NY PA border and had an archeologist and 2 of her colleagues look at it. She said it is a copper celt that dates to 5000BC and maybe even...

    Hatchet head?

Thanks for the help! I had an archeologist and 2 of her colleagues look at it. She said it is a copper celt that dates to 5000BC and maybe even older. An extremely rare find especially in my area! She believes it is made from Lake Superior copper

#1 Find of 2020 and #1 Bucket Lister of 2021

With 2021 hours away (THANK GOD) what was your #1 find of the year? What is your #1 bucket lister for 2021? My #1 find was probably a 1787A Machin Mill's copper. My #1 bucket lister is definitely a Flying Eagle Cent! Happy New Year and hopefully 2021 is a great year for digging.
