Favorite places to hunt in parks

Look around the trees, places where people like to sit and take a break from the sun, read, snooze. If it is a larger tree that has not been landscaped around for some time you will be able to see the tree roots growing from around the bottom of the tree, if you can not see the base roots that...

Got up early and went to the beach this morning, got side swept on the way home on the freeway.

Great bunch of finds. Our beach's are just starting to get fired up with the warmer/hot weather. Most are quite barren of treasure now after being hammered last fall and this spring...

Carbon Fiber Travel Handle Older Sunspot Scoop

Same scoop I have, good in the rocky river, heavy but sturdy. Glued a piece of rubber tire tread on the back step so the foot don't slip off when digging in the water.. Marked the back of the handle with a black paint pen so I can easily tell the orientation of the scoop when in deep/murky water...

    xp deus 2 for wading

I use the antenna with the long wire, toss the remote over the shoulder in the case snapped to shirt collar in deeper water and use the wireless headphones. OK as long as the remote is not submerged.. Works fine for waist deep lakes/rivers.

    I Have A Question

Paths are good place to hunt; often times the inline skaters, bikers, exercising moms with/without strollers, etc. drop all kinds of things. Don't find much on the path itself as most of it is found by daily walkers.

    Some Florida finds

Getting warmed up here in MI, at least for a couple days. A good reason to get into the water.. Nice finds..

    xp deus 2 for wading

Anything over about 4 inch deep and you will need the antenna.. Other than that the Deus works as well in water as it does on land..

A few more for the week

Any day out hunting is a good day; good finds, good exercise, meet good people, see good sites, etc... Better than sitting in front of the idiot box hearing the idiots lie about the world around us..
