3rd trip to the old house....

Nice hunt, believe the brass mystery item is a sword pommel.

    Its Spring Trime !!

Pulled this 3 cent'r from a CW site yesterday. Just swinging my way back to the truck in an area I had already grid every which way to Sunday having made a nice find there in the past, and the ORX sniffed out this lil beauty.

    ORX

9" round HF coil gets my vote, I hunt for the same and really like using the medium freq. My secondary coil is the 13" X35 on sites where the signals aren't too busy, impressive depth with this one.

Pretty damn cool ! Could be a tavern bottle marked by the owner or the patron. Museum quality right there Calabash.

Absolutely awesome !! Came close to one myself 2 weeks ago in a pit, anyhow, Super congrats on finding one intact. Guess the DD is the owners initials, any chance you know any family history at the location ?

I use the Sierra 12" Hotshot or the White's 15" for field coverage. A great trick for separation in busier areas is using the 5" or stock 9" and crank SAT to 10. For whatever reason, the high SAT setting shrinks up the target field and really helps in target separation and actually does little...

Just curious what your trying to achieve that the White's coil line up can't ?

    DFX coil program

I have many hours on this coil. Select Relic mode, turn Mixed Mode on. and switch to single 15 khz, enjoy.

    TID on deep targets ?

Get a lil excited when there is no tid on the target, more times then not, its a goody.
  16. F

    DFX - still using it??

Used one for about a year and a half and got its best performance using single freq 15khz, and on sites not so busy with signals, Mixed Mode really lights it up. ;)

Gold Pocket Watch and Spectacles found today in the PNW!

Great dig guys. Super hard to find a pocket watch from that period in tact, and those spectacles ain't too shabby either. (y)

whats the best detector you ever owned?

In my 30 years at this, White's XLT does it all and is my favorite, but I will admit having multiple frequencies to work with would enhance this detectors performance, but not by much. Today other companies honestly are just catching up, but they are making it easier for newcomers to have...
