    Wished I lived closer,Ron.I love a challenge.If I looked at the right school you listed,it dates back to the 40's.I dont believe all the silver is ever retrieved from sites that old.Maybe Larry,Rob,Magic,Yazoo or someone closer in the area can take up your challenge.Good luck on your hunts.:thumbup:

    Tazman,if you havent run mixed mode before,the all metal audio is based off the threshold (best way I can describe it),it doesnt beep but can be set to give an increase in tone(VCO).The discrimination mode is the mode that will give beeps or tone ID.If your new to detecting and havent run mixed...

    Go to audio in the expert menu and turn off mixed mode,but remember in the deep silver program,the filter and recovery delay in the stock form are set towards a slow swing.

    I have Ramases,the exact same thing your talking of.The reccommended RX fall off over time and the overload.I never found it to go away by switching the unit off or removing the battery though.In both cases it has happened to me,the coil was the issue,not the machine.Also both times it has been...

    Ground balancing

    I just noticed that when you initially go into ground balance your machine is stable and starts being unstable when you pump the coil.It looks like the 7.5 freq is hitting the hardest.Its possible the ground isnt clean or that your gain or AM sensitivity is set too high.

    Ive found that also with EMI.When you go to pin point mode with the coil in the air and get that pulsing its a sure sign of EMI.Ive hunted in a couple sites very close to overhead lines that the EMI practically rendered the pinpoint mode useless.
