    Recent V3 finds.

    Aaron, if you find some fairly snow free area around trees, check it out.I dont know why but the ground around trees doesnt seem to freeze nearly as bad as open ground.Weve had the same weather here in S Dakota lately and the area around the trees is easy digging.

    Canadian quarter

    Detecting with the V3 this morning I found a 1969 canadian quarter that VDI'ed a solid +93.After finding an online reference, it stated this quarter is .999 nickel.Does nickel give this high of VDI like silver?

    filters on the V3

    With the 5 band filter and recovery delay of 80 or higher,Ive taken my sweep speed as slow as 4-5 seconds for a swing in one direction with good results.

    Niel, have you tried the RX at 15 in 3 freq best data with the coil in the air lately? My D2 didnt overload in this condition until I found my coil acting funny as you describe. It didnt matter where I was,in the air I always got a recommended 7-8 RX and once on the ground dropped to 2. I found...

    I made it out for a while this afternoon too.Temp was running about 29 degrees.The ground is so darn hard,especially in area that the soil was still moist.I managed to pull a bunch of clad and one 45' wheat before I sliced my finger with my Lesche trying to dig what I thought was another wheat...
