Barber & Franklin Halves / Old Political Token

thanks! Yes, a seal ring makes sense to me the more I think about it. The ring loop is not very big and it would be very heavy for a kid to wear it as a ring.

thanks Mark! Manticore is good machine. I just need to get more hours on it to get to the level I am at with the Deus 2. Boating to hit sites sounds fun. Also, Great videos you posted. Nice! Dave

thanks Rick! Yes, I will have to get more hours on the Manticore before I open my mouth about it too much. I did have an Equinox years ago and it has a lot of similarities, but Manticore is better, in my opinion. I think it is a little deeper also. It is balanced way better also. Etrac had very...

Barber & Franklin Halves / Old Political Token

thanks Mark! I don't know what that item to the right of the watch is. I pulled 2 at 2 different sites in this post. the Manticore is still second fiddle to my Deus 2. I just haven't used it enough yet. It really surprised me on a couple of dimes laying on iron.

thanks Ted! Yes, nothing like big silver. I don't mind finding worn silver at all. The signals are more challenging on those. Alot of times the real worn silver skew down to penny signals so they are surprises when you seem them in the hold.

I had some good time to get out and hunt the past couple weekends. All finds shown were pulled from researched public sites. Most were pulled with my Deus 2 and a few with my Minelab Manticore. Most of the silver including the halves and quarters were pulled out of South Dakota. Others were...

Five Dollar Token, Silver Quarters, Dimes, Jewelry and others

Thank you all for looking and the replies. Appreciate it! Here is a heartbreaker of a very deep nice signal I got last week in Minnesota. It was pushing about a foot deep and it was reading like a half up to a dollar. 1930s cold cream lid lying flat. Grrr. All part of the game.. Dave

Five Dollar Token, Silver Quarters, Dimes, Jewelry and others

I came out of my long winter hibernation and got some hunting in the past few weekends. All finds are from pounded public sites in North Dakota and some in Minnesota. Finds were made with my Deus 2 machines and my Minelab Manticore which I purchased over the winter. Of the finds in this post...

    Had a fun day today

Nice finds with that French 2 francs coin and hat pin. Years ago, I ran into a very large hat pin like that one. I also recognize the coin as I found a coin ring made from that francs coin around the same year. I believe it is 83.5% silver. Dave

    BPOE Badge

Great find. 10 years ago, I ran into a 1912 ND Elks Convention badge but yours is in better shape and more than likely older. Dave
