Looks like I'm gonna be getting an Eldorado uMax

I have been wanting a deeper machine for relics, but I have always wanted an Eldorado uMax. I've had fantastic luck digging relics with my Silver uMax over the last few years, but hunt in one old campsite that has patches of hot ground amongst good soil. The Eldorado with it's GB should be great...

Vaquero, Tejon, or big coil for my Silver uMax?

I want to go after those faint, deep signals when relic hunting, but I want to find MORE of those signals. I have a Minelab X-70, but don't know yet if it will get on down there like a Tesoro. I can get a new machine, if one will make an impressive difference, or just supe-up my good old Silver...

Tesoro Vaquero vs X-70 for deep relics??

Hello, folks! I have an X-70, and really like it. I wouldn't get rid of it. But if any of y'all have a Vaquero or Tejon, and would give an opinion on those deep, faint signals, which machine would you favor? Thanks!

Thinking about getting an F-70 or F-75

I hope y'all can help me out. I've owned a couple of minelab Explorers in the past, and they did ok for relics, but I want a basic machine that will hit deep on bullets and relics without all those crazy sounds. Where I hunt, the Explorers have been the "best" machines to cover the ground, and...

Got my BIG coil from Richard today!

But I've been under the weather for a few days with that old sinus mess. Today was a nice day, but I just didn't feel like going. Tomorrow is "iffy" weather-wise. When Mother Nature feels good, I don't, and vice-versa. Can't wait to try that big coil on a bullet or two!

This is going to be a forum day!

Cannot do anything outside, due to ANOTHER soggy, rainy, muddy day. I can sit inside and think about digging, but that's it. I have that old sinus mess that everybody has been getting, so I probably would stay in today, anyway. Good day for cruisin' the digging forums!!

Just ordered a 10" 7.5khz coil from Richard

Went digging for a while today an an old homeplace, using the stock 9" coil on the 70. Didn't find any CW bullets today(found 4 the other day). I did find 2 complete harmonica reed plates and a bunch of old post-CW rimfire casings. Anyway, my curiosity has prompted me to get the bigger med...

Do any of you use Iron Mask?

A friend of mine relic hunts with an Explorer II, and he swears by the Iron Mask feature. I hunt with him, and he always finds good, deep targets. I'm wondering if the Mask feature on my 70 will do as well as the one on the EXplorer? Never hear alot mentioned on here about that feature. Any of...

Want to buy X-terra 10.5" coil

For relic hunting. Please send me a P-M if you have one for a reasonable price. Thanks

    Couple X-70 questions

Hello everyone! It's been awhile. I am liking the 70, but would like to know if it's totally necessary to put the machine in all-metal to GB. It seems to "go through the motions" when I get GB on menu, and then hit the auto button. Sometimes it seems hard to flip the machine back to mode 1 after...

Question about buying a machine on here(classifieds)

I have a 70, and I really like it. I sold an XLT for a friend of mine, so he could get an X-70. I posted a "WTB" on here, and had several replies, but none of the members seem to have any "history" on here, so my question is....Would you buy from someone who only has a few posts? I'm a little...

    WTB X-terra 70

I already have one, but a friend just sold his XLT, and was so impressed with my 70, he now wants one. Just a basic X-70 with the stock coil will do. P-M me if any of you can help. Thanks!

Question about control "falsing" on Silver uMax

I have a Silver uMax that has been a great machine. It works fine, but I cleaned it the other day and noticed(after putting it back together) that when I turn the disc. knob, I get a little falsing noise. I don't remember the machine doing it before, but maybe it did. It's been a while since I...

It's TRUE!! First find with the "new" X-70!

I got my used X-70 yesterday, and couldn't wait to try it out this morning, so I went to a place that I have hunted hard for 30 years, and really hit hard this summer. There were NO signals, and I realized how good I had covered it prior to today. Then, I found 3 beer cans at over a foot deep...

    G-B'ing the 70

I just got my 70 today, and it's in great shape. I read the owner's manual, but even that is a little confusing. I want to primarily relic hunt with this machine, but usually find coins when I relic hunt. I know how to crank-up the sens. on this machine, as that is easy. I guess my main question...

    I have a 70 on the way!

I'm looking forward to getting a good clean used 70. I have a feeling this will be a "fixture" for me most of the time. Thank y'all for those informative posts!!

Another question or two for X owners.

I've been digging for like 30 years or so, and being from the "old school"(but not always the best school), I have prefered to always hunt with the stock coils. Only extra coil I ever purchased was a 15" coil for my old Whites Spectrum. Talk about HEAVY. Anyway.....Mainly for relic hunting, and...

    The X's have me thinking

Being arthritic and unable to hunt with a heavy machine without a harness, I'm kinda interested in one of these X's. Currently have a White's xlt that I recently got a great deal on, but I knew when I bought it that I may not be able to use it comfortably. Relics and coins would be my thing if I...

Spectrum XLT or newer XLT (much difference?)

I've used White's machines for decades, but got away from them recently(for lighter machines) due to health problems. As some may know, I bought a used Spectrum XLT(rainbow motif) recently for a low, low price. I got my support harness today, so I'm looking forward to trying it out soon. Anyway...

    Ace 250 vs White's XLT

Has anyone with an XLT hunted with the Ace 250, or vice versa? I was wondering how much better the performance and depth would be with the XLT. Thanks for any help on this.
