Has anyone ever notice that the Sovereign doesn't work well for Canadian Quarters

Those newer Canadian Quarters must be made out of iron. HH Ron

    Short search with the Sovereign

Last Sunday was a nice spring day got out for a short search.Had my S-1 probe off, which had my remote pin-pointer switch attached so this was mounted back in place. On my farm time goes by too quick, fences, and other chores have to take priority, but at the end of the day had enough time to drive...

    Low crime park area find.

Found this knife in a State Park last summer. Not sure if I would want to run into the guy that lost this tooth pick. The wood trim on one side of the handle was next to the knife,at a depth of about 4 inches, just put in place and it stayed on like it was glued By the way got a positive reading...

Good to run into other Sovereign and Excalibur users even while not metal detecting.

The last two months I volunteered to work as a guide at our library for the Smithsonian "The Way We Worked" exhibit.Very interesting exhibit about the way we worked in the US from the early 1800s to the present. My job is to get people on the tour involved, example ask questions, what was your...

Sensitivity in Auto is not a good setting to calibrate your meter.

I have noticed when my Sovereign is in the Auto setting the meter will get a small but significant bounce. For instance if a meter is calibrated for 180 with an air test you'll find the ID will bounce from 180 to 179 to 181.Learned this by accident.Just thought I would give everyone a heads...

Noise Cancel switch Band 1 & Band 2 the least used control used on the Sovereign Elite and GT

This summer at the Buckeye hunt I used my Elite for the seeded hunts and over the years have done very well.I had a major problem this year with interference from other detectors, which by the fourth hunt I decided to switch metal detectors.I over looked the most obvious solution,a simple switch...

Two weeks ago used the Sovereign at the Buckeye hunt with mixed results

First couple of searches did very well but a couple of detectors interfered too much and hurt my searches.I ended up on my last seeded hunt using a Classic lll which worked better.I always consider these hunts a success by getting my entry fees back. This year fees were $200.00 and sold my silver...

    Short Search

The sidewalk in Oxford at cemetery hill was removed and search this area a little yesterday. The road crew decided they didn't want any hunters in this area,so this shortened the search. The Sovereign pulled out some clad and an older King George Canadian Quarter.Very worn on the back with no...

Follow up to why the Sovereign is a great detector.

Burdick Road in Oxford at Cemetery hill has been stripped down to about a foot for repaving the road.I got permission from the road crew, but I must wear a orange safety vest and detect after their work hours in the evening. My first search I took the Sovereign and got little hunting...
